Bless your family this holiday season You are gone but truly never forgotten. Thank you for your sacrifice. I never knew you. I am a
Dispatcher with another agency and have seen your father's entries on an Officer's page that we lost. He is a special man and thus I am sure you are as wel.
I think of you and your family frequently. We are truly all one big family. Merry Christmas.

Officer Gordon, what a great thing for your kids, so often families are forgotten. This is one of the most difficult times for families, and your dad has always been there for me, I know that you are watching over them all. Continue to rest in peace. I am going to Washington DC for Christmas this year and I will stop by and sit awhile by your name. Heroes live forever, and you are a hero.

Dear Mike,
Yesterday the CPD Memorial's Operation Santa honored your children with gifts. Mr. & Mrs. Santa arrived, followed by a motorcade of around 16 cars - Darien, CPD and State Police. Around thirty people depart the cars and come into the house for food and beverage.
You are remembered and will never be forgotten. I do wonder what some of the neighbors think though.
Love and miss you always.

Michael,
Eleven years have passed since you were called away. Some say it feels like just yesterday that you were here with us. For me and Mom it has felt like a lifetime since we heard your funny laugh and saw your crooked smile, listened to your stories. I miss those early morning phone calls on your way home from working mids and filling me in on the activity that night. You would always ask the same thing when I answered the phone, "Dad, what you doing?" I was sleeping most of the time but said I was up. If I could only have back those mornings I cut you short. I miss you every day. Please watch over everyone for me. Love and miss you.

Mr. Gordon, you have posted several times on my ex-husbands page (Lee Russ, Ward County SO, Texas) and I just wanted to tell you how much I appreciate your kind words. Just as your son Mike came from a law enforcement family, Lee's Dad and brother were officers. Please know that Mike's family, friends and coworkers are remembered in prayer.

Mike, Watch over your son Cullen who is leaving tomorrow for his Adventure Camping Trip to Canada. He will be gone for 40 days and of course I and the rest of the family will be on pins and needles the whole time. He loves this kind of stuff and I would love to be happy for him if I didn't get so nuts about these things. I was that way with you and your brothers and now with the grandchildren.
This is his fourth year with this camp in Wisconsin and he has advanced each year. Now he's telling me that next year he wants to be a camp counselor. He also asked what I thought about him joining the Army and I said he needed to finish college before thinking about the Army. I wish you were here to guide him because the family can only say and do so much.
Love and miss you everyday.

Blackhawks took the Stanley Cup last night. Thanks for putting in the good word. I know what a Hawks fan you were and you were not here to see them win any of the 3 cups they have taken in the last 6 years. I know you would have been down near Wrigley Field with the thousands of fans that celebrated in the streets. They took it at home, first time since 1937. Miss you every day, you are always in my thoughts, especially when I see a Jeep Wrangler drive past me. Love and miss you forever. Keep watch over everyone for me.

This past weekend was the annual Cubs Rooftop fund raiser for your foundation. Turned out to be one of thebest we ever had. Was a cold and wet night and Cubs were rained out. We still had the rooftop and it turned into a Blackhawks final playoff game. Hawks won and your could hear everyone cheering in all the bars in Wrigleyville. You never got to see the Hawks win a Stanley Cup but you were one of the biggest fans. They are now playing for the cup so help them along with some lucky bounces. We love and miss you every day. Keep watch over the family for me.
Love,
Dad

With my prayers...for you and your family.

To Officer Gordon's Family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I found out about your husband, father and son today when reading about the fallen officer in WI. Sad to lose someone so young. Please know that there are others whom you have never met that shed tears with you.
I lost my best friend when he was only 31 years old. He was like my younger brother. I will never forget that day and the circumstances that lead to his death. There was nothing that could be done to save him. I was helpless and he died....
I look forward to seeing him again in the resurrection. Be assured that many, like me, feel for you.

Dear Mike, Today is Cullen's 16th birthday - you would be proud of the young man he's become. Looking at him I see you at that same age.
He will be making his communion and confirmation tomorrow - we are all proud of him.
Watch over both your sons' and daughter along with the rest of the family. Love and miss you everyday.
