Thank you my Brother for your sacrifical dedication & faithfulness above and beyond the call. It's been said, "It's a Thin Blue Line that binds us.but it's a strong Blue Line. It knows no state boundaries and does not break.Death itself cannot break it." We are proud you are one of us. Rest in Peace assured your loved ones are never alone. We are but a phone call away.

Dear Wise Family and Friends,

I am sorry to hear about your loss. Only a coward would shoot a police officer. I am glad that the coward was apprehended and must now face justice. Please take some comfort in two verses from the Bible: "Blessed are they that mourn; for they shall be comforted." Matt. 5:4 and "Blessed are the peacemakers; for they shall be called the Children of God." Matt. 5:9. God Bless.

I extend my deepest sympathy to the Wise Family and the Reading Police Department. God was in need of another fine officer to help him patrol the streets of Heaven and he chose Michael to fill that position.

SAFELY HOME

I AM HOME IN HEAVEN, DEAR ONES;
OH, SO HAPPY AND SO BRIGHT!
THERE IS PERFECT JOY AND BEAUTY
IN THE EVERLASTING LIGHT.

ALL THE PAIN AND GRIEF IS OVER,
EVERY RESTLESS TOSSING PASSED;
I AM NOW AT PEACE FOREVER,
SAFELY HOME IN HEAVEN AT LAST.

DID YOU WONDER I SO CALMLY
TROD THE VALLEY OF THE SHADE?
OH! BUT JESUS LOVE ILLUMINED
EVERY DARK AND FEARFUL GLADE.

AND HE CAME HIMSELF TO MEET ME
IN THAT WAY SO HARD TO TREAD;
AND WITH JESUS ARM TO LEAB ON,
COULD i HAVE ONE DOUBT OR DREAD?

THEN YOU MUST GRIEVE SO SORELY,
FOR I LOVE YOU DEARLY STILL:
TRY TO LOOK BEYOND EARTH'S SHADOWS,
PRAY TO TRUST OUR FATHER'S WILL.

THERE IS WORK STILL WAITING FOR YOU,
SO YOU MUST NOT IDLY STAND;
DO IT NOW, WHILE LIFE REMAINETH-
YOU SHALL REST IN JESUS' LAND.

WHEN THAT WORK IS ALL COMPLETED,
HE WILL GENTLY CALL YOU HOME;
OH, THE RAPTURE OF THAT MEETING,
OH THE JOY TO SEE YOU COME!

THANK YOU WOR YOUR HARD DEDICATED WOR MICHAEL....WE WILL TAKE IT FROM HERE. GOD BLESS YOU AND THE LOVING FAMILY YOU LEFT BEHIND.

Mike,
I didn't know you as a cop. I knew you as a friend, a partner, a paramedic, and a mentor. You helped me to become a better EMT. You told me that was what you wanted to do for me. Well, buddy, you did. I owe everything I know to you. You are deeply missed and there hasn't been one second over the past few days that I have not regretted never telling you what you did for me. I hope you can look down on me and know that I am doing all I can to help carry out your legacy of public service. You are very missed by all of us. Denise and Kendall, my prayers are with you. With deepest sympathy and love, Judd

Besides being a good Cop, Michael was a great Father and Husband.

My heart weeps for the loved ones you left behind, and the time lost because of your premature departure. Rest assured that your daughter will grow up knowing what a truly noble and loving man you were. You will be sorely missed by anyone who has had the pleasure and honor of making your acquaintance.

This world seems a little more dim with one less Michael in it.

With much love and respect, I bid you a fond farewell.

Your friend,
Jeff

TO:The family;loved ones;friends and department members: A POLICE OFFICER'S PRAYER:--- O,gentle Lord! Keep the day / night watch with me. As I begin my tour of duty,I ask your protection from all mental,physical and spiritual harm. Sustain me with the knowledge that I am doing your work,endeavoring to keep peace among your people. Help me to be just as I enforce the law without prejudice or favor to anyone. May I be courageous but not reckless in carrying out my duties. Let me respond to all calls with haste realizing that so many are dependent on me for life and safety. Support me with your consoling power when I am tempted to think no one really cares and that I am taken for granted.Sustain in me the conviction that so many thousands do care and are grateful for my presence. Grant that I may be loyal to my partner and my fellow officers , and that I may back them up effectively when called upon for assistance. Lord, I ask that I may return safely , after my tour of duty,to my loved ones and those who love me.I pray that I may be a good and honorable police officer;and after my tour of duty is over here on earth,may I enjoy the peace and happiness of heaven that you have promised to those who serve you well.AMEN.***REST IN PEACE*** Sent to you by the father of First Class Officer J.D.Koeppen,Capital City Raleigh NC and Trooper D.C.Koeppen,NJ State Police.
