I am so sorry to hear about your loss.

Denise-I have been in your shoes and know what it is like to wake up in the middle of the night only to realize that he is really gone... To look at your children and know that their memories of their father will start to fade away even though you talk about him and look at pictures everyday...

I wish for peace for you. I know it is hard to imagine your life without your loved one. It doesn't get easier. It only gets closer to the day you will love together in eternity...

To the friends and Family of Michael Wise, I am so very sorry for your loss. How blessed you are to have known such a wonderful and giving person even if only for a short time. God Bless you all and keep you safe out there.
Mrs. Wise, I am also the wife of a police officer. I will remember you and your daughter in my prayers. I know the fear you have felt daily since he pinned on that badge and I know the sacrafices you have made so that he could be and do what he loved so much. You have been as equally strong and giving as Officer Wise and I would like to thank you and commend you for being the woman you are. It takes a special person to be a police officer and just as special of a person to stand behind that officer and give them the support and strength they need to succeed.

God Bless you and your family. Draw strength from the Lord and may he bring your heart and mind peace always.

To the family of Officer Wise; To hear the testimonies given by his mother & friends at the funeral service spoke of a wonderful man and police officer who left us to soon in life. May the Lord help you keep his memory alive in your daughter's heart and may she grow knowing that her daddy was a hero who answered Jesus' call of "giving his life for another". Take hope in the promise that someday we will be reunited with our loved ones through our Lord Jesus Christ. Rest in peace my brother and watch over us until that time. May God grant your family peace beyond knowing during this time of grief.

Michael was a wonderful father, husband, friend and son. I wish everyone would have had a chance to meet him and enjoy his sense of humor. Reading Police Officers keep telling me that Michael was a good cop and it doesn't surprise me. He was dedicated to his job and loved what he was doing.

To all other law enforcement and public safety officers, please be safe.

Thank you for your kind words and prayers.

God bless you all.

The policeman stood and faced his God,
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining.
Just as brightly as his brass.
"Step forward now, policeman.
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek?
To My church have you been true?"
The policeman squared his shoulders and said,
"No, Lord, I guess I ain't,
Because those of us who carry badges
can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays,
and at times my talk was rough,
and sometimes I've been violent,
Because the streets are awfully tough.
But I never took a penny,
That wasn't mine to keep....
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God forgive me,
I've wept unmanly tears.
I know I don't deserve a place
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around
Except to calm their fear.
If you've a place for me here,
Lord, It needn't be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don't.....I'll understand.
There was silence all around the throne
Where the saints had often trod.
As the policeman waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
"Step forward now, policeman,
You've borne your burdens well.
Come walk a beat on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in hell."
