Reflections for Police Officer Gary Cooper Davis
Rest In Peace Officer Davis
May 13, 2004
It was with extreme shock and sadness that I learned Officer Davis was killed this morning. Although I did not know him personally I have spent a lot of time working in Bloomfield Twp. I am sure that if I had called on him or any other member of his department that I would have been treated with dignity and professionalism. Although I am no longer in Law Enforcement I still have an undying respect for all of the men and women that put on a badge and pick up that responsibility.
Officer Davis, your sacrifice will never be forgotten. To your family and department I offer my most sincere sympathy, and to your wife I offer the Lord’s peace. Mrs. Davis, lean on your brothers and sisters in blue, they will be there for you.
Rest in peace Officer Davis: 10-42

The Officer, (Gary Davis), killed on I-75 this morning is not just an Officer, he is my Friend!
I live in St.Petersburg, FL and Gary not only touched my life in a way that I can't even begin to describe right now, as well as touching the lives of many others.
Gary is a man that was as genuine and sincere a person as I have ever met in my life.
Gary was a man that gave! He gave to friends and strangers both. Gary had a way of conveying that he was not just speaking to you, he cared for you and that was his reason for taking the time to speak.
Gary is going to be missed by his family and close friends as well as his extended family on his favorite website, Moparts.Com
Gary has touched my life and I know so many others that we will never know about!
I want ALL of MI to know that they lost a Very Good Officer and a Very Fine Person!
Gary had a love for Cars but, His love for his Wife, Family and his Job, was far greater!
I want everyone to know, this is NOT Just another Faceless Tragedy!
This was Gary Davis, My Friend
Somehow I know that in Heaven, Gary will Protect and Serve from above.
God's Speed Gary
Sincerely,
Chuck West

A "Class Act" if there ever was one. We knew him by his web name "Unlawfl" and sadly never got a chance to shake his hand. He truly was a great representative of the law enforcement community.
