Earl V Wisler was my grandfather. His daughter, Miildred Wisler Niemiec,my mother, was only 2 years old when he was brutally beaten to death with his own gun..
My only regret is that I had never asked my grandmother more questions about my grandfather. We don't realize when we are young that we will someday want to know more about out late relatives and ancesters
Rest in peace

This was my Grandfather that I was never able to meet. My Mother was only 9yrs old at the time and the oldest of 4 children the youngest had just been born. My Mother never really knew the whole story and died before they put the memorials in front of the Atlantic city police station. My Aunt and Uncle attended along with myself and my cousins. It was a very moving memorial and to find out the brutal way my grandfather died was horrifying. The infant died later that year, so my Nana really endured a lot. As im writing this it is because I was looking for his son's obituary and my Grandfather was the first one that came up. My Uncle Bud (whose name was Earl V. Wisler) passed away last night. So my grandparents and all their children are all together again! 03/05/2015

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 84th anniversary year of your death.
Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.
