Reflections for Trooper Kurt David Knapp
Every day I visit this web site praying that there are no new names. Today my heart sank as I saw that the number was higher. To the family and friends of Trooper Knapp, and to the TDPS members, may God bless you and be with you in this time of sorrow. America lost another hero today; you are now 10-42 go walk a beat on Heaven's streets, you've done your time in Hell, you are a blue angel, R.I.P. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten. God Speed Brother.

Although there may be 250 miles between where you and I work, your untimely passing hits home. I am assigned to a DPS Helicopter in McAllen and work closely with your brothers and sisters in Region 8. They are my friends and, by proxy, so are you. May your passing be a reminder to all of us how quickly life can change. To Trooper Knapp's family: I know the sacrifice and the dedication that was required to do his job. I can say without hesitation that Kurt David Knapp left this life doing what he loved. Our thoughts are prayers are with you today.

Kurt, you are my friend. Many times I laughed with you, drank coffee with you, worked with you, ate with you, and the list goes on. I get some relief in knowing that now you have no more worries, no more sorrows, and your soul is at peace in heaven. You will never be forgotten brother, and you are truly one of the better people I ever had the pleasure of knowing.
