Leave a Reflection

Reflections for Police Officer Isaac Anthony Espinoza

My Dear Son:

I put some school papers I'd collected throughout your school years in a binder. I pulled it out today (5-27-17, Saturday, Memorial Day Weekend) and some pages fell out. It was an assignment you did in First grade, named, "All ABout Me." In it you wrote that on your next birthday your birthday cake will have seven candles on it. One page asked "What You Wanted to Be When you Grow Up," and you drew a picture of a policeman and your teacher spelled it out for you.

I'm amazed that at six years old it was in your mind, heart and spirit (and God's plan) that you wanted to be a Police Officer and you did it.

Missing you on Memorial Day Weekend and always,

Until we meet again,
Love, Mom

Thirteen years since you left us. You are my hero and not a day goes by that I do not remember you. You were born my nephew, then became my godchild, and died my brother in law enforcement. I miss you so much.

Never forgotten

"The Glory belongs to Isaac."
Those were the words I heard in my Spirit
that first week when I cried out to God Almighty,
"Why, Why did you take Isaac. I was ready; I was prepared.
Why Isaac."
And then His answer, "The Glory belongs to Isaac."
I love you.

Coward is the only word used to describe the man that took you at such a young age. Thank you for your courage and service, and may you forever rest in peace my brother, knowing that you dedicated your life to making others safer. I pray that the Lord blesses your loved ones always.

Gone but never forgotten. Another cop was killed while on duty a couple days ago and automatically I relive the night you were taken. I hate it when cops die!! It will soon be 11 years since that day, but not a day goes by that I don't think of you or see something or someone that reminds me of you. We all miss you and wish you could still be here. But for now we will continue to move on until we meet again.

As the holidays draw near I think of you more and more. You are never forgotten for you where such a light in the middle of darkness. Your smile brightened up any room, your good looks and that perfect hair you are so well known for is burned into my memory for all time. I miss you but I know you are in safe hands and protecting us from above. I miss you
