Our department will never be the same without Jason. There is a giant hole in each of us that will never be filled, no matter how many tears are shed. Everyone who ever met Jason is a better person just by knowing him. He will never be forgotten, for a heros memory never dies. Please keep us and his family in your prayers.

To Deputy Scott family:

I was on my way to michigan, from Atlanta, when I heard the news of Deputy Scott, being wounded. I was in tenn. when the message came across the radio. I prayed hoping that
Deputy Scott, would be all right but by the time I stopped in kentucky, to get some gas the message came across the radio
informing that Deputy Scott, had passed. I read the memorial page all the time and pray that another name would not be added today but this was not the case. Sometime I wonder
why do good people have to died trying to make this world
a better and safer place but only one person know the answer
to that question. (MAY GOD BE WITH YOU)

We continue this fight today without another brother. Your death is a constant reminder to the law enforcement community as well as the community we serve that our jobs are vital to the preservation of peace and the protection of lives.

You died so that others could live. That sacrifice could never be rewarded here on earth. Thank you and rest easy bro!

God bless Deputy Scott's wife and family and keep safe his fellow deputies at the Loudon County Sheriff's Department. I have just recently moved to this part of Tennessee after losing my husband in a line-of-duty death in California, so I can empathize and sympathize with those who are suffering this tragic loss. Rest in the arms of the Lord, Deputy Scott.

Please remember the fallen officers we have lost. Remember the men and women who died trying to make this world a safer and better place for us all to live in. Thank you Deputy Scott for a job well done. Please continue to watch over us and protect us as only you can. You will forever be at our side and in our hearts.

For those of you who still have loved ones with us please take the time to tell them how much you appreciate and care about them.

IF I KNEW

If I knew it would be the last time
That I'd see you fall asleep,
I would tuck you in more tightly
and pray the Lord, your soul to keep.

If I knew it would be the last time
that I see you walk out the door,
I would give you a hug and kiss
and call you back for one more.

If I knew it would be the last time
I'd hear your voice lifted up in praise,
I would video tape each action and word,
so I could play them back day after day.

If I knew it would be the last time,
I could spare an extra minute
to stop and say "I love you,"
instead of assuming you would KNOW I do.

If I knew it would be the last time
I would be there to share your day,
Well I'm sure you'll have so many more,
so I can let just this one slip away.

For surely there's always tomorrow
to make up for an oversight,
and we always get a second chance
to make everything just right.

There will always be another day
to say "I love you,"
And certainly there's another chance
to say our "Anything I can do?"

But just in case I might be wrong,
and today is all I get,
I'd like to say how much I love you
and I hope we never forget.

Tomorrow is not promised to anyone,
young or old alike,
And today may be the last chance
you get to hold your loved one tight.

So if you're waiting for tomorrow,
why not do it today?
For if tomorrow never comes,
you'll surely regret the day,

That you didn't take that extra time
for a smile, a hug, or a kiss
and you were too busy to grant someone,
what turned out to be their one last wish.

So hold your loved ones close today,
and whisper in their ear,
Tell them how much you love them
and that you'll always hold them dear

Take time to say "I'm sorry,"
"Please forgive me," "Thank you," or "It's okay."
And if tomorrow never comes,
you'll have no regrets about today.

Mrs. Scott, my heart aches for you as I learned of the tragic loss of your husband. I too lost my husband after just 5 months of marriage in a tragic accident in the line of duty.

Your husband has made the ultimate sacrifice and is a true hero. I know as surviving spouses we dont want to hear anyone say that "He is in a better place" because as their wives, we believe that the "better place" is here on earth with US. God will take special care of your husband and you now have a new guardian angel in heaven. You WILL be together again someday. He is only waiting for YOU, no one else.

You HAVE to take care of yourself during this time for the baby. He/She needs you to be strong and stay healthy. I will definitely keep you and your husband as well as your families in my thoughts and prayers. Keep your husband alive in your heart and in your memories-he is always with you.

I had the pleasure of being Jason's supervisor for a short period and during that time he and I became friends. Jason was a fine man, outstanding officer and loyal friend. Jason was the type of guy that you could not help but enjoy being around. Our department will never be the same. The support from outside agencies, local citizens and total strangers has been simply overwhelming. Jason's family and our law enforcement family appreciate all the acts of kindness more than words can express. We will miss you Deputy Jason Scott.
