Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Jason Michael Scott
As Christmas 2005 approaches, we can't help but think of Jason, and how he enjoyed this time of year. Reflecting on past years, his smiling face and laughter made Christmas special each year. He enjoyed this time of year from holiday decorations to exchanging gifts with people he loved so dear. Most important to him was spending precoius moments with family and friends.
Even though Jason could not be here, he is still close by our side as Jesus is. Though it's hard for us to understand, Jesus had this plan. He took Jason to be at home with Him. Jesus blessed us with a precoius angel to remind us that he is still here. Jayden reminds us all of how special her Daddy was, from her laughter to her smile, and as she grows more like him every day. So as our hearts are heavy, but our memories are still sweet we say to Jason Merry Christmas and we will see you again someday.
Merry Christmas Daddy,
We Miss You
Love, Joni and Jayden

JAYDEN RECENTLY RECEIVED A SPECIAL GIFT IN MEMORY OF HER DADDY,DEPUTY JASON SCOTT BY THE TELLICO VILLAGE WOODCRAFTERS.AS I WATCHED THIS PRECIOUS LITTLE GIRL SMILING AND PLAYING THOUGHTS OF THE TIMES MY PATH HAD CROSSED JASON'S CAME TO MIND. I COULD SEE HIM REFLECTED IN HER MANNERISM'S ESPECIALLY THAT SWEET SMILE.AS I WATCHED HER INTERACT WITH HER MOM AND GRANDPARENTS, I SAW IN THEIR EYES A WISH FOR WHAT MIGHT HAVE BEEN. I HEARD SOMEONE ASK JASON'S DAD "ARE YOU ALL THE GRANDPARENTS" AS THEY RESPONDED YES WITH A SMILE I WAS REMINDED ONCE AGAIN HOW GOD GIVES US BLESSINGS IN TIMES OF TRAGEDY. JASON'S WIFE,DAUGHTER,FAMILY AND COMMUNITY SUFFERED A GREAT LOSS WITH HIS DEATH.HOWEVER GOD HAS BLESSED US ALL WITH A WONDERFUL PART OF JASON IN THIS BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL.
JASON,
THANK YOU FOR THE SACRIFICE YOU MADE FOR YOUR COMMUNITY.YOUR LITTLE GIRL IS BEAUTIFUL AND LOOKS ALOT LIKE HER DADDY.

Jason, it's hard to believe it's coming up on two years. I still think about you often and smile. You were a pleasure to know. To Joni, Jayden and rest of the family: I'm mobilized with the military so I will probably miss Jasons memorial service. I'm sorry I won't be there. Jason, say Hi to Matt Rittenhouse for me. You are still missed. Watch over us.

Jason, I daily go to your reflections site to read the continuous messages of those that knew you personally and those that only knew you through the news reports. I wish everyone reading through these reflections could have known of all your funny and loving things you did, and the daily life you led as a loving Christian. I was so proud of you then and now. I love you and wish I could have had one of those wonderful hugs on your 26th birthday, 11/18/05! MOM

Jason, I sat here this afternoon looking at new clips of Officer's that have been killed in the line of duty. I saw the in car cam of your partners from that day. I took me back to a night almost one year ago when I could not save my dear partner. I know how your co-workers and family are feeling, but please let them all know they are not alone. We are all one big family and you will always be a hero in our book. I know that you have met Brian and Duke up there, and I know that you all are watching over us. Please know that you are missed here and I will keep you in my thoughts EVERYDAY as I do Brian and Duke.

Dear Miss Joni,'
Mr Jason was a good cop. Cops arent bad, they help people, and Mr Jason helped alot of people. My mommy says he was nice, and she didnt know him much, but she cried when he got killed. My brother wants to be a policeman when he grows up, and said its cause policemans are heors and help people and make us safe. Mr Jason is an angel in heaven like me baby sister is. my mommys parents are angels too. So we gots lots of angels in Loudon. I say prayers to jesus for your dotter, mr Jason is watching her. he loves you both, i know this cause i talk to jesus everynight, and he lisens to me cause im good and love him.
mr jesus, watch out for mr jasons family, cause they miss him, and let me jason keep a eye on em so he can be happy nowing that he is still in thir heaerts, and make sure he hugs my sissy for me too, just till i can do it myself someday.

I met Jason when serving Jury Duty. He stood with the Jurors on the Grated Iron Balcony of the Old Courthouse as we took a break for air (some for smoking). I am terribly afraid of heights, and he snickered about my nervousness. We had a good laugh that day, and for once, I looked down without a panick. Upon another encounter, he once again, made a joke, and gave me a smile on a day I really needed one. I didnt know personally, but worked with some of his close friends, and was saddened the day he passed. Now his beautiful baby girl is growing into a tiny reflection of him, and joni is doing a wonderful job.
I am proud to live in Loudon, where officers like Jason are ready to give a smile, or exchange a greeting.
Jason Scott will never be forgotten, even by those who never knew him, or just exchanged greetings like I did.
May God always Bless those nearest and dearest to Jason, and God Bless ALL officers, here to serve their communities with stern-ness, and compassion.

I did not know Jason Scott personally, but I say a prayer every night, for the ones who keep us safe. It doesn't matter to me, or my family, whether we know the people we pray for, or not.
I was a law enforcement officer for many years. I chose to leave it behind, so I could watch my daughter grow up. I know my wife and daughter worried, when I was on the street, but they never failed to support me. I will continue to pray for your family, and friends.
May God bless the Scott family, and all the men and women that keep us safe.
