Sincere sympathy is extened to Officer Jennifer Fettigs family, on behalf of myself and my family. I believe a great Police Officer was taken away from us citizens in which there was no need to be. Our society will surely miss her and her skills and devotions to her family and her friends.
Thanks for taking my condolence.

As I heard the news of this senseless tragedy on our local news station (in Ohio), I was sickened and heartbroken that another courageous and dedicated law enforcement officer had been killed in the line of duty.
Not too long ago, I also walked the path that Officer Fettig's fiance, family, friends and fellow officers find themselves on today. Our oldest son was killed in the line of duty (vehicular assault) in August of 2003 and our lives were changed forever. There is nothing that I can say right now to lessen your pain but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Please draw strength from God, each other and your law enforcement family.
Thank you, Officer Fettig, for taking on a job that only a chosen few can do. You are a true heroine in my eyes and are now an angel in heaven. May God bless you and your family. Gone But Not Forgotten

I come with a heavy heart to post a memorial to these two heroes, Ofc. Bowens and Ofc. Fettig.
Officer Fettig, I grieve for you, your family, and all fallen officers. May your senseless death be a reminder to all that those who stand guard for us everyday are indeed heroes.
From the Policemans' Memorial in Washington DC:
"In Valor, There is Hope"
"It is not how these officers died that made them heroes, it is how they lived."

On behalf of the Hazel Park Police Honor Guard Unit and the rest of the department, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to family, friends and co-workers of Officer Fettig. We too lost a fellow female Officer @ 19 months ago and have an idea of the pain you are suffering. I am sure that she is patrolling a much better place now alongside her partner. DPD was there for us when we needed support and we will be there for you!
You will not be forgotten!!!!
