I was thinking about you all day on the anniversary of your death. The weird thing is that the Bears were playing in the Super Bowl and knowing how much you loved them. It was almost as if they got to that point for you!! I give your family all the prayers in the world. Please watch over all your fellow men in blue but especially those in Riverdale. I may not work there any more but the guys are like a family and support each other. They are great group of guys!! You and Tommy are in my thoughts everyday. I now work with someone that has met you. It is just so weird how small this world is. He told me how great you were the first time he met you and how nice of a guy you were. He also mentioned how great your family is. Of course, watch over your family including yours in blue!!

To Detective Wally Rolniak and his loved ones:

On this the third anniversary of your tragic death, please know that your memory is honored and revered today.

My heart is with your wife and daughters and other family members who call you beloved. I am so touched by their loving reflections for you. They are all in my thoughts and prayers today. How they must miss you and that beautiful glorious smile that shows up so well in your picture.

Wally, you rescued us, saved our lives and our families. You are one of the rare heroes among us. You were always there for us in the most traumatic moments of our lives. No matter when we called, we just expected that you would come and do whatever it took to help us, and you always met our expectations. Your selflessness and dedication are awe-inspiring. I also salute your military service to our country, a tradtion that I see is still being carried on by your niece and god daughter

This world, this country, your community truly are better places because of you. To have lost you is a great tragedy, an irreplaceable, immeasurable loss for society. We are grateful for and to you, and honor you for all you did for us day in and day out whether you received a word of thanks or praise.

Rest in Peace, Detective Rolniak. I am so humbled by your valor and courage.
