Hey Nick,
Today has been seven years since you were taken from us. We all miss you so much. This morning when Bobby woke up he came in my bed and said Happy Nick's Day mommy, then he said I wish Nick could have live another 100 years. He miss you so much even though he was only a year old when you were killed.
We all love you so much and I know you are watching over us. I know you are also taking care of baby B until he is ready to meet us.

Merry Christmas and Happy 1/2 Birthday!! We miss you so much and wish you could be here with us. Thanks for making sure I made it home safe from work on Christmas Eve. We had a great Christmas and Bobby & Payton kept us laughing. They are so funny. It will never be the same without you. Hope we can see Gavin soon so that we can give him his Christmas present. Happy Thanksgiving Nick!! I know you saw us at Guns & Hoses last night. You are probably thinking "wow times have changed" I am glad we get to go and see all of our friends and the kids love it also. I do kind of miss the girls evening making pies, going out to dinner and me getting the phone call from you or James saying you are on your way home and wind up talking to everyone in the van. It was so great to hear you guys so happy. When we left Guns & Hoses, Gavin was walking next to me and I asked him if he would hold my hand so that I would be safe. He was so cute and held my hand tight and said "Kel, don't worry".

Thanksgiving was great this year. Most importantly, Mom was able to be with us and enjoy it. She made her "famous" gravy. We just had a low key day and had a lot of fun. Bobby asked if he could help me peel the potatoes and he did a great job. We also watched the parade. It is so fun to watch it through the kids eyes.

Josh was called into work so he was not able to celebrate with us and of course we missed you and Gavin. I am glad we were able to see Gavin last night.

Thanks for the roses, it was a great surprise today when I looked outside.

Nick-
Hey, how is everything going up there? Payton hopes that you got her balloon that she sent you last night. We were at Officer Grant Jansen's memorial but Payton said that he had a lot of balloons going to him, that she didn't think he would care if you got one.

This had been a beautiful weekend out and I just can't help thinking that at some point you would have called and said "Kel, can we come down and BBQ and have a few beers?" I miss you just being able to jump on 55 and be at our house in no time. James and I were trying to figure out why we still had one of mom & dad's chairs in our garage. I think it is one that you brought down when you, James and Josh sat in our garage right after we moved in and talked and had a few drinks. Just wanted to say hi and that we are sitting out in the backyard and just know that you would love this weather.

Nick-
Hope you had a Happy Birthday!!I am sure you guys celebrated up there. We had a busy weekend here for your birthday.

Friday night we went to Gavin's game. He said he was playing the game for you for your birthday and they won..Bobby also played on Friday and won. Great job done by both boys. I am so proud of both of them.

Sunday was the Soccer golf tournament to help raise money for the scholarships for next year. Everyone was so wonderful there and I know that it helped Mom & Dad get through your birthday weekend. We also had ice cream cakes donated and I am sure you had something to do with that.

Even though Mom wasn't feeling very good, she did not want to miss anything.

I just wanted to tell you that we love you and miss you so much. Payton wants to know why we have to visit you at the cemetary and that you can't be here with us. Heather's B-day is next weekend and I will get her something from us. We will have a nice enjoyable weekend at the lake.
