Nick-
Happy 30th Birthday!!! I told you we would still celebrate. Heather & I weren't turning 30 without you. We miss you so much. We are going to the cemetary and Payton is making chocolate chip cookies for you and wants to wear a pretty dress for your birthday.

Please be with Mom and help her through her continued treatment. It was so great when I saw Mom and Dad at the airport. They have so many great friends that have helped so much.

Well, I am sure that you guys will have a few beers to celebrate. Please continue watching down on all of us and I can't wait to be able to see you again when we will all be together again.

Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday.... We are at the airport in Jacksonville, Florida waiting to return home after a two week stay. Mom got some positive news at the Mayo Clinic but she will have a tough time ahead getting better. We will be home in time for your 30th birthday. Hey Nick,
Hope things are going ok up there! Watch over Mom and Dad. I know you are with them, we saw the signs this morning. Thanks!!! Let Mom get the answers she needs. I know she is nervous but this is such a great thing for her. I told her this morning that no matter what they find out, we will be here with her every step of the way not to mention her wonderful angel.

I was driving the explorer home from work today and thought about when you looked at it and we came with you. Also, right after I had surgery and then Grandma died and I was riding with you and James. You kept worrying to make sure I wasn't in pain and tried not to hit too many bumps. You were always looking out for me, thanks!

Well, help us get good news. Love you, miss you so much!!!

Thanks for the beautiful day outside for my birthday. The best present that I could receive was that Mom made it out of surgery and she is fine. It was so great when we saw her last night and I know she has a long road ahead of her but we will be with her every step of the way. She also has the best angel looking out for her.

I know you were watching Gavin's last soccer game last weekend. He is just like you. I love it when we have all 3 kids together. They just make you laugh so hard.

We miss you so much and wish you were here with us.

Hope everything is going ok with you. We had Mom's bday last Sunday. The kids got her a gift and Payton made her strawberry cupcakes w/white icing and sprinkles. Dad made his famous bbq cheeseburgers. The only thing missing was you being here having a beer.

Mom is trying to be so strong and not say how much pain she is in. We know this has to be one of the hardest things she has been through.

Gavin said to tell you hi and that he misses you and loves you so much. It still is so hard to believe how much he acts and looks just like you.

Well, I wish you were here. It will never be the same without you.

Forgive me for missing the anniversary of your E.O.W., but I felt as though I could not continue to read about so many tragedies. I now realize the visit each day to leave a word of encouragement and hope to the loved ones of others, helps me to remember that I am not alone with my pain and heartbreak. So may I say to your friends and loved ones that my thoughts and prayers are with them now and always. Continue to keep watch over them and those still out on patrol and may they know you will never be forgotten.

NICK:

Once again Mom and I are sitting in the hospital waiting for her to get better. This is the third visit in the last three weeks. We are making a lot of new friends and Payton and Bobby loves the free ice cream and orange sherbert. Payton loves walking around visiting the doctors and nurses and taking care of Mom. Hopefully Mom will be going home soon and things will start getting better with her lupus and her heart. Mom does feel better because she is one of the youngest patients on the cardiac floor. She said it is a good thing that I retired so we could travel and make new friends. I don't think this is exactly what we had planned.

There has been a whole lot going on lately and I hope Mom is able to turn around and get better. See what you can do to help her out.

Talk to you later. Help Kelly and Heather get some sleep. They have had a lot to worry about lately. This has been very hard on all of us....
