Clint,
On Wednesday, 01-14-04, we at the PPD lost a co-worker, a friend, and a damn good cop. You were a young man with a promising future who was taken from us way too soon. Over time we work out the feelings we now struggle with..... but I promise..... you will never be forgotten.
Until I see you again,
Rest In Peace my brother.

To the wife, family, friends and co-workers of Officer Walker:
I am so sorry for your loss. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. I pray that God gives you comfort and strength in the weeks and months ahead.
I know the loss you are feeling and that there are no words that will make this pain any less. I lost my dad, Ptl. William B. Bell, on 11-19-02.
You will find that this law enforcement family is like no other. You will receive such love and support, and it will help carry you through this. When my dad died, the love and support from my dad's co-workers and friends and from our community was overwhelming. It was truly beautiful to see that his life and his service did not go unappreciated or unnoticed. And you'll find that your loved one will have made a similar impact on the lives of SO many people. The love that you shared with him and the service he gave to his community will be of great comfort and pride.
Again, I am sorry for your loss. You are all in my prayers.

Clint,
I will miss seeing your little truck flying into the parking lot at City Hall before shift change or you holding the door open as all of you were going into the meeting prior to shift change. Amanda you had a wonderful husband who always had a smile on his face and nice words to say to everyone. He loved his job you could tell. All of our guys are special people and I hope they know that I for one as a fellow city employee and as a citizen of Prattville appreciate everything they do everyday they place that uniform on. You are gone but never forgotten Clint! Until we meet again keep an eye over Amanda and THE GUYS! May God watch over, help heal and help protect us all.

To the family, friends and coworkers of Officer Walker,
GRIEF IS AN HONOR
Accumulated grief and sorrow, no longer to be held at bay, have swarmed up and blown
the hinges off the gate. Grief and sorrow have flattened me.
After the gate flew open, I learned the most important lessons of my life. I learned that
grief is precisely equivalent to love, and the terrible grief felt after the loss of a person one
has loved deeply is a necessary consequence of that love and represents its survival in
another form. However bitterly, grief is an honor.
I learned that grief universally saturates and enriches our world, for sooner or later loss
of an almost unimaginable order transforms everyone. Parents die, brothers and sisters
die, even children die, and these deaths create irreparable wounds that shrink over time but
never heal. On all sides, tears lie just beneath the surface. The emotion that gives rise to
those tears is a connective tissue extending far, far down into our common humanity and
our individual beings, and in those depths it becomes indistinguishable from joy.

I am a citizen of Prattville and have seen the huge support the city and surrounding areas have shown Mrs. Walker, their family and Officer Walker's co-workers. The support that local and state agencies have given them should be commended. 8 Alabama State Troopers are coming to Prattville to patrol our City, so that all Officer Walker's co-workers may attend his funeral.
May Mrs. Walker's mind be at ease knowing that Officer Walker had just re-dedicated his life to the lord the Sunday before this accident occured. Hopefuly knowing that her husband is with our God in Heaven brings her comfort.
May God Be with you Mrs. Walker,
