Reflections for Patrolman George S. Bell
Patrolman Bell, it has been 78 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your military and 3 weeks of law enforcement service.

You were my cousin. I remember knowing you when we were growing up. You were older than me, but always so good to me.
When I visited from R.I., I usually stayed overnight at your house. I remember going on your paper route with you and other things.
Then WWII came and I went in the Navy and you went in the Marine Corp.
Now I live in Plymouth and I am 97 years old. Wish you were here too.

Patrolman Bell, yesterday, we said goodbye to a retired Sergeant from Plymouth who was killed in a horrific motorcycle crash in New Hampshire. Michael Ferazzi was also a Marine and I am privileged to work with his son Matt, another fine man and dedicated cop.
Today marks the 73rd anniversary of your passing. I cannot help but feel, strongly, that you were one of the first to greet Mike when he entered Heaven. You no doubt brought him into the clubs that Marines and cops only can belong to. It's Heaven, but you're all still who you are, right?
Brother, God Bless and may you forever Rest in Peace.

Time may have passed but you are not forgotten. I believe as long as someone remembers you or speaks your name, you are still with us.
Thank you for your heroism.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 66th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace

Patrolman Bell, today marks the 60th anniversary of your murder. Things like that are not supposed to happen in “America’s Home Town” and in 1946 it must have been especially shocking. We in your extended family salute you and honor your memory. You are a hero.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.
