Reflections for Trooper Nikky Joe Green
To Linda and the girls, just know that my heart goes out to you. You have been, and will continue to be in my prayers.
I had the great fortune of working with Nik on several occassions over the past five years and I believe I learned something from him every time! After gaining Cotton County (Probation/Parole Officer of Tillman County), I had to call on Nik several times, mostly because this "city girl" had gone and gotten herself lost in the country and couldn't find her way back to the hi-way. He would always just chuckle at me and either talk me back, or if I'd done a really good job, he'd have to drive out and find me.
Oh, how I will miss his warm smile, kind heart and infectious personality! What a wonderful man he was.

My prayers and deepest sympathy to Linda and the girls and the rest of the family. Nik first of all was my friend and will be sorely missed. He was a great person and a role model that anyone would want their child to follow. He always spoke very fondly of the kids that he was trying to lead to Christ there in and around Devol.
He was the sort of man and law enforcement officer that we all would like to be or become. May Nik rest in peace. We, that knew Nik personally, have been blessed with all of the fond memories of a great friend and person. Nik, you never went 10-07, friend, just 10-08 with the Lord.

One of the officers I work with knew Trooper Green. Upon finding out about his tragic and terrible death, he reflected upon how much of a great man Trooper Green had been. He stated that Trooper Green was respected as a kind, honest, family orientated man.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Trooper Green, and to all that were close to him.

I wish to extend my sincere condolences to the family. I along with approximately 1000+ Indiana State Troopers and other law enforcement officers from throughout the US and Canada were at the funeral for Indiana State Trooper Scott Patrick on Saturday December 26th. Before the service began, we were informed that Trooper Green had been killed in the line of duty. What an awful day for the Green family and the law enforcement community. To Mrs. Green and his daughters: Know that though I never met your husband will be greatly missed and he is in a better place now.

Linda, girls and family: Words can not express our deep sorrow in your loss of Nik. Even though we had never met him, we sense the wonderful person he was thru the media and personal accounts of friends. Thru phone conversations concerning insuring the church vehicles, we learned what committment he had to our Lord and His work with children and Devol church. We also express our gratitude for his dedication to the job of protecting us as citizens, no matter the cost, literally, his life. Linda, may your faith in God hold you up and see you thru this and the days ahead. Know that we continue to lift you and your family up to our Father. You have our love and prayers, as well as those of our church, Trinity Baptist Church, Lawton, OK

Our hearts and prayers are with Trooper Green's family and fellow officers. As a former officer in N.W. Oklahoma and a native born Oklahoman it saddens me to hear of your loss. Having lost one of our own earlier this year I know the pain you feel. Never forget the good things and the legacy Trooper Green leaves behind.
God Bless his family and friends.

May you rest in peace, my brother in Christ. I know in my heart that you are in Heaven with all of our brothers and sisters. The ones you have youth pastored will have to fill in a big void, but with prayer and faith in the Lord, they will over come. May God be with the family and friends at their time of need.

Mrs. Green I am a OHP wife, a new one at that. We were married in Aug of 03. I am so sorry for your loss of Nik. Since then everytime my husband leaves to do his job of protecting the public, I pray even harder to God to protect him and bring him back home to me safe and sound. I can't imagine what you and your family are going through. Your husband sounded like such a model christian, such a wonderful man. I just wish there were more people like that. Nik's with God now watching over you and your family, still protecting you. I pray every night that God will wrap his loving arms around you and give you comfort. May God bless you and your family.

Mrs. Green and family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God wrap His loving arms around you and comfort your hearts. We never had the privilege of meeting Trooper Green, however all the testimonies that we have read about the past few days continue to show what a wonderful Christian man he truly was and serve as an inspiration to us all to be more like Nikky. May God bless you.
To Trooper Green's fellow Okla. Highway Patrolman,
Thank you for the countless hours you spend patroling and safeguarding the communities in which we live. Thank you for the thankless job you perform and the sacrifices you make daily. May God bless you.
To the Youth at Devol Baptist Church,
We are very saddened to hear about the loss of your youth pastor. Nik's testimony and Christian influence can be carried on through you. Our youth group at Milo Baptist Church has been praying for you and will continue to pray for you that God will comfort your hearts and that His will can be carried on in a mighty way. I can only imagine the big party that's going to take place in Heaven when you guy's are with him again! Keep the faith...keep on keeping on!

A simple, "We're so sorry". Trooper Green went above and beyond for Oklahoman's that morning by going on watch hours before his scheduled duty time. What a glorious way to be remembered. Thank you Trooper Green and enjoy the golden streets.
