Reflections for Reserve Officer Russell Hayden Simpson

My Uncle was no joke. He was a role model for what police and fireman should be like. Yet on a higher note was a perfect painting for how a gentalmen in todays society should be. He would make time for everyone, no one would be left behind. He will be missed deeply by our family. For those of us that knew him, we will be losing something forever that cannot be replaced. Uncle Russ, and with him always his can of worm dirt! You will be missed. Love your nephew, I miss you so much....

My heart goes out to Officer Simpson's family and fellow officers. It is very hard to loose anybody, and I now know, first hand, the heartache of loosing someone you love. The pain will be less in time, as for how long it will be, I cannot tell you. The loss of my Nephew,Blaine County, MT Deputy Sheriff Joshua Thomas Rutherford is still too fresh in my mind.
I know that the Lord has taken them into his loving arms and welcomed them home. They are truly "His Angels", now to walk a different beat! God Bless all of you and may you be comforted in knowing, he is looking out for you from above.

most people would tell you that law enforcement is a dangerous job. i never listened. I was always afriad when there was a domestic call or when i heard dispatch say use caution with someone. My husband was a little man but his size never mattered to him. He wanted to be a policeman, he wanted to make the small town we lived in a safe place for everyone. i never thought that directing traffic would be the worst thing that he could do. I just want to say to all the officers that read this "To be careful out there and watch out for other drivers and be careful so you can go home to your family" GOD BLESS

God Bless you officer Simpson, you out did your self like many other police officers do at times. You are the real meaning of law enforcment. We just dont break up fights, handle drunk drivers, or assualts, we also give our aide to those people who are at need.

Good Bless you officer Simpson

I am very sorry to hear of this greeat loss. No words could ever really help in your time of sorrow. I know because I lost my older brother in June. Gerald Warf, he was a police officer in Red Bank, TN. Just remember, The Lord has His arms wrapped tightly around the family right now.
