Scott,
Was just visiting the site to check up on my friend, Tpr. Jim Sauter Illinois State Police, once again so I thought I'd drop by and visit you too. You are not forgotten. I still remember the day you we called away from here. Thanks for giving me the motivation to become a trooper.

Thought of you the other day Scotty P. You were one of a kind; honest, caring, funny, and one awesome man. I still think of our card games in college and the fun we all had at USI. I saw someone in my city with your picture and a memorial on their car window. Your were a great one and still are in the hearts you touched. Love and miss you, RIP.

When Scotty was a little boy he always had a smile on his face. When he became a teenager, he still had that smile on his face. When he grew into a young man that same boyish smile was on his face. Scotty was a happy young man who became a police officer so he could help people. If you knew Scotty, you like him. He is missed and loved everyday by those who knew him.

I had the honor of presenting an American Flag to the family of Trooper Dees this weekend. What an honor it was to be your classmate and friend and be able to tell your story with the survivors of Trooper Dees. You will never be forgotten Scott!

Scott,
I thought of you the other day. I was reflecting on the summers we spent between practices during 2-a-days. You, Chris, Jamie, Randy, Mark, and me. We'd play risk or super tecmo bowl or monopoly. Or after Saturday wrestling practices we would go and play football in the snow. Those were the days.
RIP brother.

I was working with Trooper Patrick the night he was killed. I can say that he was an upstanding family man who had integrity, honor, and dedication to his job and to the citizens of Indiana. The Indiana State Police definitely lost one of it's finest when he was taken from this world. Rest in peace Brother.
