I want you to know that I walked in your shoes just weeks ago, when my son was killed in the line of duty, and I know your pain. My prayers are with you, and know your husband is a hero. I still find comfort in reading these reflections, and I'm sure you will, too. We belong to an elite club, whose membership dues are too high, and sadly, you are not alone. As survivors, we surround you with love and strength. Don't forget it takes a very special person to do the job your husband has done, and he is now in God's hands. May God give you strength in the days ahead.

I would just like to say I'm sorry to the family of this fallen officer. My husband was killed in the line of duty nearly six years ago and it still hurts to this day. Time does heal but I pray that God will help you right now because I remember the feeling I had when it all first happened. You feel like you can't go on another day. You feel like your heart has been ripped from your chest. I am sorry another family has had to go through this but you must know that you are not alone and you have a lot of people you don't even know praying for you right now. God bless you!

Why is it that these things happen for no good reason? Bryan you and Tom will be missed without a doubt! I didn't have a chance to chat with you much after you left the County and I now wish I had kept in touch. You put a smile on everyone's face you could.... and you will be missed. May God watch over your wife Juli and your family.. and know that you will be patroling better roads and keeping a safe place for us later! Take care of Opie, as he will take care of you! Thank you for all you have done!

We remember you in your anguish and pain.Knowing that in this life you will never see your friends or beloved ones again. You will never see the precious smile or feel the warmth of their embrace, hear the laughter in their voices, or wipe a tear from their faces. We remember you in the days to come when reality sets in, that there will be an empty place in your home and heart where your loved one should have been.
yes, they should have been there in your life, to share your joy,to share your tears, to share your strife, to share your laughter, to share your dreams through the years.
My deepest sympathy to your entire family and friends,as they grieve the loss of someone so loved and full of life.

It saddens me to hear of another young officer lost in the line of duty.
To Mrs. Verkler - My heart aches for you. Keep your family, friends and police family close by. Let them help you through.
It's impossible to think that you could ever go on, but eventually you will feel like you can breathe again. It has been three months since my husband died in the line of duty. Not a second goes by that I don't think of him and miss him. Be strong.
