most people would tell you that law enforcement is a dangerous job. i never listened. I was always afriad when there was a domestic call or when i heard dispatch say use caution with someone. My husband was a little man but his size never mattered to him. He wanted to be a policeman, he wanted to make the small town we lived in a safe place for everyone. i never thought that directing traffic would be the worst thing that he could do. I just want to say to all the officers that read this "To be careful out there and watch out for other drivers and be careful so you can go home to your family" GOD BLESS

Tony, to say we miss you is an understatement! It just doesn't seem real. We've grown up together, laughed together and could you ever aggrevate me. I don't think you ever met a stranger, you could really make people smile....and that dance! I remember you would always do that when you and Mike stood around the fire. You were Mike's best friend, he misses you. Please watch over him when I can't see him you can now be his guardian angel! I promise to help Misty and the girls and will always be here for them. We love you and miss you.

Tony,
You are the best and I always looked forward to seeing your smiling face in the gym. Although we ask and question God why He took you from us, we know that you are in a much better place and that you are another HERO looking down on us and watching after us. You will always be in my heart and I can't wait to see you in Heaven, Love you!!

Misty, Brooke and Nikki,
I can't begin to express my sorrow for you, but I promise that if you just stay strong and lean on the Lord, you will make it through. Tony is still with you wherever and whenever, so don't ever feel like you are alone. You will always be in my heart and prayers. Tony was the best and always had the most wonderful things to say about his sweetheart and his girls. I love yall! Phillipians 4:13

BALLAD OF THE BLUE AND GREY

Fighting soldiers from the streets
We are Georgia's true elite
Men who mean just what they say
The brave men, of THE BLUE AND GRAY

A silver badge upon our chest
Signify's we're Georgia's best
Five hundred men try out each May
But the Seventy Sixth will wear THE BLUE AND GRAY

Big Hat proud upon our head
Blood in our veins, no longer red
Troops who fight by night and day
Will surely bleed THE BLUE AND GRAY

Back at home a young wife waits
Her Brave Troop has met his fate
In a ditch he's laid to rest
Leaving her this last request

Pin my badge on my sons chest
Tell him dad had done his best
I'll look down on Graduation Day
Long will live, THE BLUE AND GRAY

We love and miss you brother Post #1 Griffin

When I learned about the chase and accident I asked myself why did I take the day off. I would give anything to shake your hand and talk to you just one more time. You were the finest Trooper that I have ever worked with. You were the finest husband and father that I have ever meet. You are missed, but rest assured brother Misty, Nikki, and Brooke will be taken care of. I love ya Bro.

To Misty, Brook & Nikki,

Your husband and Daddy was more than a trooper, he was a true servant in the Biblical sense. Our gratitude to you for his unselfish occupation, that we can all be safe on the streets and in our homes, can probably not be adequately expressed. But we can lift you up in our prayers, ask for The Spirit to give you comfort, and peace, in knowing you will see him again.

To Trooper Lumley's family,
I am so sorry for your loss...I pray that God will be with you and bring you his peace. Heaven has a fine new Officer on patrol.
My father is a retired State Trooper, so I know how hard it is to be a cop's family member, and I can only imagine what you are enduring. Know that he did not die in vain and that others will keep heart by his example.
