Charles F Elliott was my grandfather whom I never got to know since he was killed before I was born. He died way too young, but I am proud to know that he was in law enforcement and protected and served the people. May he always rest in peace and as his tombstone says, "Gone but not forgotten"..

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 66th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Until I began researching our family tree, I didn't know about Chief Elliott. We are proud to have such a stalwart in our family and Chief Elliott has another cousin in law enforcement in Elizabethtown, KY, active 17 years. I would very much like to share information with any of Chief Elliott's family and dscendants. Gaye Johnson Hill

No matter if it were in the woods of Kentucky 60 years ago or a city street today - there is always someone willing to take the life of an officer. An officer who's loss will affect his or her family and friends forever.

You will not be forgotten.
