Reflections for Police Officer Matthew Michael Pavelka

Rest in peace Matt, you will always be in our hearts and in our memories. The times we shared with you in England we will hold close to us and smile each time we remember you and your dedication to service. Our prayers are with your family through this difficult time. We will miss you deeply. To a former Air Force Security Policeman here is a little prayer.....

Lord, you have called us to be guardians of a nation founded on your principles. Whatever our tasks as Security Police men and women, we do them to serve you and our nation. We are proud to accept responsibility of this high calling. We dedicate ourselves to our vocation, and ask for guidance and courage in aiding our people to live with dignity, and safety and peace. We know that true security comes from your presence, so we pray with the psalmist: You bless those who obey you, Lord; your love protects them like a shield. Use us, O Lord, as a shield for your people reflecting your security and peace. Amen.

A Brother Warrior has fell and died today in battle.

This Brother Warrior has made the ultimate sacrifice.

He has given his life for his Fellow Warriors, his family and friends too.

Brother Warrior, pass your sword to us, so we can keep your spirit alive.

You, my Brother Warrior will not be forgotten.

God Bless you, your family and your friends.

We honor and respect all of the Fallen Warriors who have gone before us.

We ask you, Brother Warriors to guide us, protect us and pray for us.

We will meet again my Brother Warriors.

For this time not to fight another battle, but to live in eternal peace.

God bless all of the Warriors, past, present and future.

You are the same age as my daughter. So sorry your short life ended
so violently. Another sad and tragic day for law enforcement. Your
death diminshes us all. Thank you for your selfless service and sacrifice.
Sorry you barely got to enjoy your career. It's amazing to me that
anyone would choose a law enforcement career considering all the evil
in the world. It is a long road to healing that lies ahead, but I know that
our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will extend His mercy and comfort to all
who reach out to Him. There is none greater than He. We don't get to
Heaven based on what we do, but what He did for us!! AMEN! There is
now a huge void that cannot be filled. God be with all those who mourn
and may His promises lift all those with heavy hearts for many years to
come. My heart goes out to all those you loved and all those who loved
you. God bless.
