PSALMS 23 4&6 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

May God bless you and your family and may he help to ease the pain caused by your death. Now that your tour of duty has come to an end on earth you resume it in heaven for there is a reason we wear wings on our collars.

You helped countless people
As they cried and bled
You saw the worst nightmares
Aren't those in your head

You took on a mission
To protect and serve
Showed kindness to strangers
Some didn't deserve

You saw record hot days
As well as the lows
And alarms that go off
Each time the wind blows

You battled with evil
And fought off dispair
You entertained angels
Were you unaware?

You had many dinners
So rushed and so cold
To be there for others
Through horrors untold

You missed time with family
To answer the call
For the unknown person
You risked it all

You gave us your best years
For not enough pay
Your life was cut too short
We know that today

We cherish each moment
No matter how small
Your smile and your laughter
Were gifts to us all

We take comfort knowing
You now see God's face
Yet beside us is still
This sad, empty place

For a few days at least
The media shows
The grief that engulfs us
The pain as it grows

We all pray for justice
For this tragedy
Nothing can make up for
His life lost, you see?

The public pays homage
To a hero lost
For our safety and lives
We now see the cost

What so many won't see
Past your uniform
Was someone so special
With a heart so warm

People comfort each other
As best as they can
How can we get over
The loss of this man?

Today we say goodbye,
Hero, "Brother in Blue"
You are so loved and missed
We won't forget you!

Thank you for being a true hero

Rest in peace brother.

Thomas, now that you are in heaven, continue to watch over us down below. Play with all the little angels that have gone on before you and that was hurt here in life. Continue to walk that beat and ride that Harley around those pearly gates. May you spirit roam free.

LAST INSPECTION: THE POLICEMAN STOOD AND FACED HIS GOD.WHICH MUST ALWAYS COME TO PASS.HE HOPED HIS SHOES WERE SHINNING,JUST AS BRIGHTLY AS HIS BRASS,"STEP FORWARD NOW, POLICEMAN. HOW SHALL I DEAL WITH YOU? HAVE YOU ALWAYS TURNED THE OTHER CHEEK? TO MY CHURCH HAVE YOU BEEN TRUE? THE POLICEMAN SQUARED HIS SHOULDERS AND SAID,"NO LORD, I GUESS I AIN'T BECAUSE THOSE OF US WHO CARRY BADGES CAN'T ALWAYS BE A SAINT. I'VE HAD TO WORK MOST SUNDAYS, AND AT TIMES MY TALK WAS ROUGH, AND SOMETIMES I'VE BEEN VIOLENT, BECAUSE THE STREETS ARE AWEFULLY TOUGH. BUT I NEVER TOOK A PENNY, THAT WASN'T MINE TO KEEP, THOUGH I WORKED A
LOT OF OVERTIME WHEN THE BILLS GOT JUST TOO STEEP. AND I NEVER PASSED A CRY FOR HELP, THOUGH AT TIMES I SHOOK WITH FEAR AND SOMETIMES, GOD FORGAVE ME. I'VE WEPT UNMANLY TEARS. I KNOW I DON'T DESERVE A PLACE AMONG THE PEOPLE HERE. THEY NEVER WANTED ME AROUND EXCEPT TO CALM THEIR FEAR. IF YOU'VE A PLACE FOR ME HERE, LORD, IT NEEDN'T BE SO GRAND. I NEVER EXPECTED OR HAD TOO MUCH, BUT IF YOU DON'T, I'LL UNDERSTAND.

THERE WAS SILENCE ALL AROUND THE THRONE WHERE THE SAINTS HAD OFTEN TROD. AS THE POLICEMAN WAITED QUIETLY FOR THE JUDGEMENT OF HIS GOD. " STEP FORWARD NOW, POLICEMAN, YOU'VE BORNE YOUR BURDEN WELL, COME WALK A BEAT ON HEAVEN'S STREETS, YOU'VE DONE YOUR TIME IN HELL"

AUTHOR UNKNOWN.

TAKE CARE MY BROTHER.

TAPS

Day is done ... Gone the sun ...

From the hills... From the lake...From the sky

All is well ... Safely rest ... God is nigh.

Fading light ... Dims the sight ...

And a star ... Gems the sky...

Gleaming bright ... From afar ...

Drawing nigh .. Falls the night .

Thanks and praise ...

For our days ... Neath the sun ....

Neath the stars,.. Neath the sky ...

As we go ... This we know ... God is nigh

Why was it me you came upon?
The call was for someone who needed me,
And now I’m gone

Yet alas, memories of me will not falter
For always will I be an officer, husband
And a father

For those who knew of my honor and pride
Brothers of the badge
I am forever at your side

In my wife’s every dream
Hearing my whisper
“I was doing what I loved most”
Knowing exactly what I mean

And in the mirror,
My beautiful daughter
Look into your eyes,
And forever see your father

So this I tell you,
My family and my friends
I am among you smiling,
Proud without an end

You need to know what happened that day
Couldn’t possibly have taken me away

All of your lives that I have touched
Remember that I love you very much

Oh, crap. Another widow. Another fatherless child. Another sad and
tragic day for law enforcement. Your death diminshes us all. Thank you
for your selfless service and sacrifice. It is a long road to healing that
lies ahead, but I know that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will extend
His mercy and comfort to all who reach out to Him. There is none
greater than He. We don't get to Heaven based on what we do,
but what He did for us!! AMEN! There is now a huge void that cannot be
filled. God be with all those who mourn and may His promises lift all
those with heavy hearts for many years to come.
