Thank you so much for your service. I am so pleased you are being honored and remembered still after 206 years. I know this may seem silly to some but the fact this tragedy happened on Christmas makes my heart break even more. I am sorry that this happened you, especially on an evening you should have been safe and enjoying time with your loved ones. God speed.

Your heroism and service is honored today, the 203rd anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

I was saddened to see that Christmas Day is the eow for so many, many officers.
