Your heroism and service is honored today, the 75th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

I have heard stories all of my life from my father, Carl Sponsel and my grandfather(your son), Neil Arthur Sponsel. You were a very courageous man and a very good husband/father to your family. Even though I was never given the opportunity to meet you, I still love you and appreciate your service to help better the community that you were raising your family in. You will always be missed and will NEVER be forgotten.
I love you. R.I.P.

Atrie though I never got to meet you, I am proud to be your great nephew. Your sister and my grandmother (Henrietta Sponsel Nears) spoke very highly of you. She and the rest of the family must have been devastated when your life was snuffed out at such a young age. Rest in peace Uncle Artie.
