I am so glad I got to know you since you started working at the Wake Co Sheriffs office. You were such a good friend, whenever I needed someone to talk to you were there. You have made me laugh so many times. I will really miss that, but I am very thankful for the time I had your friendship. I know I will see you again and we can laugh some more. We will all miss you. God bless your family our thoughts are with you.

You have given the ultimate sacrifice, giving your life to protect your community! I can't imagine what your family is going through right now but I can only hope they can find comfort in knowing that you are a true hero and you are patrolling the beats in heaven now. I am very saddened to hear of the death of another fine officer. This once again demonstrates that automobiles remain the #1 killer of officers.

We have had a bad time this year in NC. How tragoc for the Wake SO.

I offer my prayers and support to the family, friends and colleagues of Deputy James. He died going to help others. "Greater love hath no man than this: that he lay down his life for his friends" John 15:13.

Deputy James now patrols the streets of Heaven with St. Michael. God Bless and be safe out there.

Frank,

When we drove off together to respond to that domestic, I was for certain we were going to meet back up to finish our conversation. The image of the accident and you will always be with me. I know in my heart that you heard me when I said " Hang in there Frank, don't leave me now". Your last few breaths was your sign of strenght. You were a good friend to us all. I will see you up there someday to finish our conversation.

Dear God,

Why did you take our brother today, he was the one wearing black and grey. His brass was nicely polished, his shoes shined too, his heart was full of pride, but now he no longer stands at our side? He worked a life of service, his devotion tride and true, he is needed here so badly so why is he with you? He touched the lives of strangers, he worked day and night, he gave the ultimate sacrafice to take you heavely plight. If our brother you are keeping, there is only one thing to say, please take care of your newest angel, he is the one wearing black and grey.

Our hearts go out to the family of Deputy James and the members of the Wake County Sheriff's Office.

Frank D913,

You were such a wonderful person with a great personality. I truly enjoyed the time I was able to spend laughing and joking with you and the other Southside deputies on D Platoon. What a time! But, when it came time for us to get serious & professional you were right there. You were an excellent law enforcement officer, my friend. If there were anything I or any of your other brothers could do to change this, believe me we would. You will be greatly missed by us all, but NEVER forgotten. Take care my friend, you fly with the angels now.

James, My friend, My co-worker, My hero.
It is often said that we do this job because we love it.
You made that a true statement because you gave your life doing just what you loved.
It saddens my heart that you are gone from our world,
but you are in a much better place right now.
I'm glad I knew you and I'm glad I had the chance to work with you.
I'm proud of you and I know you are up in the heavenly blue skies looking down on us all.
I will miss you my friend and I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and your family in my prayers.
Your son Travis I met for the first time and I learned very quickly that he is a strong kid and I saw alot of you in him.
May the Lord have open arms as you cross over into his kingdom for that eternal life.
You will be missed but not forgotten...
Take care my Friend and we all hope to see you again someday.
