May the family, friends, and fellow officers of Deputy Mazur find comfort and strength in their time of loss.

I will become a Phoenix Police Officer in 5 more weeks. Everyday we train in defensive tactics our instructor has us read and deticate our day to a fallen officer. When we read about the death of a fellow officer (brother) it gives us the strenth to fight harder and a greater will to survive. I did not know deputy sheriff Andrew mazur, but he has given me the strenth to fight harder and succeed as a police recruit. I knew nothing of him,but I will remember him.

You know, there is one fear that I have in this life and that is the dreaded knock on the door and for this wife, it came on 8-17-03....my thoughts and prayers go out to her especially. My God be with you and may He give you the peace that you need in time. One thing we all need to learn is to be thankful for our husbands or wifes, because we never know how long we may have with them. And may God put His wonderful loving arms around all the guys at GCSO and all men in blue.....I love you each and every one.
