There will never be another Verlon, he had the personality that spoke volumes. He always tried to help his fellow man. He was a father, friend and mentor. He will always be missed. I will never forget the day he passed, I was at work and heard about it on the radio and it just broke my heart. Truly good friend that you could talk to about anything.

As a Daughter in law of a slain Attalla police Officer C.L. Starling
your family is in our thoughts and prayers. These MEN need to put in prison with life without parole. Praying the family does not have to go through parole hearings every 5 years like our family has to. May God Bless you R.I.P. Chief LeMaster.

well verlon i sat in a court room today and heard a jury
sentence huntsville police officer daniel golden's killer
to death.i was looking at the same attorney that defended your killer hanging his head in disappointment.i cannot
figure out how some of these attorney's can sleep at night
defending these sorry murderers.and say on the news that
the death penalty is wrong.my question is to bruce gardner,
what about the death sentences his scumbag murdering clients carried out on you, daniel golden, and eric freeman.
when he walked past me today i just turned my back to him.
i wonder if he would have the same feelings if someone took one of his family members or good friends away.
thanks for listening to me chief.gone but never forgotten
buddy,rest in peace.walt.
