Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and thirty-fourth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.
Rest In Peace.

Although I'll never have to opportunity to meet you I would like to thank you for doing your part in protecting the great citizens of the City of Jackson. You are super brave. First you served in the Confederate Army. Next you signed on with JPD. Then you gave your life doing the job that you loved. You have played a key factor in the history of not only JPD but the City of Jackson as well. I know that you would be surprised at how much things in this City has changed since your time of service. Not just the City but the Department as well. JPD is not the place you remember. But you have definately left your mark on the hearts of all our men and women in blue. Thanks for being a hero to us all. May you rest in peace always.

Scholars say that in the end of time.
A great war of good and evil will ensue.
That is why, the Almighty God.
Takes the bravest, in grey, and in blue.
