Reflections for Officer Ryan Keith Goto

Heard about your story on TV and figured it happened for a readson. Just days after your accident I lost my friend in the line of duty in an vehicle accident. Thousands of miles away and it still hits home. Thank you for being a hero.

Your dedication is not forgotten. Although I'm sure that is little consolation to your family, friends, and colleagues who mourn your loss on this, the third anniversary of your death. Rest in Peace.

Been awhile since someone posted here...just letting you know I still remember the good old days back in D-7 and what a hard worker you were. All of the Sergeants would fight to try and get you in their sector.

You are still very missed and loved by many people...aloha.

Brother Goto,

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Respectfully,
You’re Brothers in Blue

To all who new Officer Goto:

I understand when a Brother in Blue has fallen. I understand that all of us in the Law Enforcement Community carry on his watch.

I never new Officer Goto nor did I hear of the accident. I was on the other hand watching a TV show last night called "INKED." A Co-Worker of Officer Goto had a tattoo put on his left leg just like Officer Goto had.

This showed me that Officer Goto had a lot of friends and a lot of people who looked up to him and miss him. Officer Ryan Goto will never be forgotten in my eyes along with the other Brothers and Sisters in BLUE.

I know he is watching over me as I patrol my beat as well as all of the others patrolling their beat. Thank you Officer Goto for you service and know that we, your Brothers and Sisters, will take it from here.

Ryan,

Well its been a few years since you left but it feels like yesterday when we last spoke. We all gathered at the grave the other day like we do every year. We all spoke to you, as well as about you. Your ears must have been ringing. We know your making space for all of us up there and setting up the next ride. God bless, we miss you.

I knew Ryan long before he became a police officer. Then, while still in school, he had always impressed me with his desire to do good. The community lost another special someone on July 23, 2003. My heart goes out to Ryan's family, his fellow officers, and the other people that were affected on that tragic day.

Brother,
As I sit on my motor I hear the thunder above. I know you just started up the bike. As I ride here I know you are riding above me watching over me. Thank you.. We will ride the ultimate ride later.

May 27, 2005

Being a motorman is what you loved. Unless you have been one, no one knows the feeling. Being involved in a crash in 1996, I was fortunate enough to continue, but not on what I loved to do...ride. You are on the ULTIMATE motor squad now. Rest easy Brother and watch over us. I will look forward to seeing your Ultimate motor wings. Until we meet...

Officer Goto, thank you for your service and dedication. You will be missed and never forgotten. May your family, fiancee, and everyone who loves you stay strong in the memories and love you shared with them.

I lost my fiancée, Scott Stewart, in August of 2002. There not a day that goes by without him in my heart and mind. I understand the pain your fiancee must feel from being ripped from you to soon. The support and love from others who know my pain have helped tremendously.

To Ryan’s fiancee, if you ever feel the need to reach out to others who know your pain, please contact me and other s/o’s. A search on yah groups will bring you to us. Just enter the below as it is.

Always remember as long as your heart beats Ryan will be with you. He’s there everyday in your heart.

Hugs,
Monica

Ryan and his fiancee Dawn were my best customers at Pacific Harley Davidson. They always brought cheer to my day just by stopping by to say Hi. They werent just my customers, they were my friends and I adored them both. I moved to boston from hawaii, my homeland, in feb of 2003, it was so hard to say goodbye to them then. I just found out about our great loss of a wonderful man a week ago and its tearing me apart. Ryan... you will surely never be forgotten, and you were oh so loved by many many people, the gentle giant tha you were...If anyone has any information on how I can reach Dawn, please email me at [email protected]

I remember that day like it was yesterday.I was sitting in traffic thinking.....oh no, not again, another accident. As I sat waiting for the cars to start moving, I got a chill and felt really sick. The cars were rerouted and I didnt know what had happened till the next day. When I saw your face on TV, I started to cry. I went back to work and everybody was shocked. We often served you and alot of the other motormen that came in for breakfast at anna millers. You will always be remembered and missed. Bless your son and Fiance, may God watch over them!!!
