Kevin,
I hope that you are sitting down with my Kevin and watching over both of your families on Christmas morning. I am really not one to say things like this but I think, in some way, you and my husband helped Angie and I to find each other. Thank you for giving me such a wonderful friend.
Merry Christmas,

Dear Kev,
Merry Christmas! I can't believe that another Christmas has come without you here. I miss you so much...as I'm sure you know. You were my anchor, even though I was supposed to be yours... (Love the boating term, huh?! Funny!!) Angie is doing a tremendous job with the kids...you would be so proud of her and them. I know that you are. Ryley and Emma are growing up so fast. I know that you are looking over all of them (Samantha and Joe included!) and that you are so proud of them. They all miss you SO VERY MUCH!! Please continue to watch over all of them and please come visit me in a dream again. I love and miss you more than I can ever say.....

Merry Christmas Honey!
I miss you more than you know. Santa is getting ready to make a visit and your little buddy and princess have been soooo good this year. I know you loved Christmas morning as much as they do. We watch the videos I took and they laugh and smile - they remember. You always made things so very special for them. We know you will be watching over us as Santa "comes early" this year...(I know, I know) . Anthony is getting pretty sneaky and is wondering if Santa is "a myth" (can you believe he used such a big word?). They are growing up so fast and you would be so proud of them.
I hope you are proud of the things we are doing...it's hard but I know in my heart they are the right things to do...what you would have wanted. And I couldn't be doing it with out the wonderful friends and family you have blessed me with. Thank you for making all our Christmas's bright!
You are our Shining Star....the first and biggest star each night - as Danielle always notices-"Daddy's star"
Always know that we love you with all our hearts forever! There isn't a second that goes by that we don't think of you and miss you!

Merry Christmas From Heaven
I still hear the songs
I still see the lights
I still feel your love
on cold wintry nights
I still share your hopes
and all of your cares
I"ll even remind you
to please say your prayers
I just want to tell you
you still make me proud
You stand head and shoulders
above all the crowd
Keep trying each moment
to stay in His grace
I came here before you
to help set your place
You don"t have to be
perfect all of the time
He forgives you the slip
If you continue the climb
To my family and friends
please be thankful today
I"m still close beside you
in a new special way
I love you all dearly
now don"t shed a tear
cause I"m spending my
Christmas with Jesus this year

The "Poem for Daddy" post that appears below is one of the most beautiful tributes I have ever read. God is lucky to have the best of the blue angels at His side. Truly, all of the men and women who left us so tragically were, and still are, loved and missed deeply. May all of those who suffer the loss of a loved one find comfort in knowing that they will, some day, be reunited in the Heavenly kingdom. Rest in peace, Kevin. Gone, but never forgotten.

"Dear God, I miss my Daddy"
Dear God, I miss my Daddy
My daddy is a policeman, he wears a suit of blue;
He didn't come home from work last night,
Mommy says he's in heaven with you.
I'm worried about my daddy Lord,
He's never been away this long before;
Mommy cried when she told me we that we wouldn't see daddy no more;
I don't know what it was that mommy was trying to explain;
She said the police were after a bad man, and somehow my daddy was slain.
Now I don't know what that means Lord, all I know is we miss daddy a lot;
Because tomorrow is my birthday, and I sure hope he hasn't forgot.
Lord if my daddy is up there in heaven, please tell him as soon as he is free;
To hurry back home as fast as he can, because we miss him, mommy and me.
Thank you God,
Amen

For Angie, Anthony and Danielle,
Christmas Prayer
I pray for peace
Blessings and honor
Heaven right earth's despair
This is my Christmas prayer
For those that grieve
God will bring comfort
Laughter will rapture there
This is my Christmas prayer
See I pray that love will rule and reign
And I pray that time will rid the pain
of this world as learn to trust and care
This is my Christmas prayer
I pray for you
that you triumph and conquer
And posses the strength you need to bare
This is my Christmas prayer
For those in need
There would be plenty
And each other's burdens share
This is my Christmas prayer
So let hope fill our hearts
Shine the light through the dark
All around the world and everywhere
I will pray
This Christmas prayer
song by Bebe Winans
I love you guys!

For all those times you stood by me
For all the truth that you made me see
For all the joy you brought to my life
For all the wrong that you made right
For every dream you made come true
For all the love I found in you
I'll be forever thankful
You're the one who held me up
Never let me fall
You're the one who saw me through through it all
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
You gave me wings and made me fly
You touched my hand I could touch the sky
I lost my faith, you gave it back to me
You said no star was out of reach
You stood by me and I stood tall
I had your love I had it all
I'm grateful for each day you gave me
Maybe I don't know that much
But I know this much is true
I was blessed because I was loved by you
You were always there for me
The tender wind that carried me
A light in the dark shining your love into my life
You've been my inspiration
Through the lies you were the truth
My world is a better place because of you
You were my strength when I was weak
You were my voice when I couldn't speak
You were my eyes when I couldn't see
You saw the best there was in me
Lifted me up when I couldn't reach
You gave me faith 'coz you believed
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
I'm everything I am
Because you loved me
You were and will always be my everything! I love you Kev!

Kev,
"You're simply the best.....better than all the rest...." How do we go on living without you here AND make our lives meaningful? We are all trying SO hard, in our own ways. I know you know that. Continue to watch over all of us, especially the kids...A, D, R, E, S and J. We miss you so much!

My heart aches constantly but at times when I'm least expecting it, when I think it cant possible hurt more, it does... Just out of the blue...Im trying to be strong like you but Im not sure Im doing the best job sometimes....until, I close my eyes, I hear your voice and know exactly what I should do. I know I'm not alone that you are constantly with me. But would give anything and everything to have you back with me. The past few weeks have had a great impact on me...the Spouses Retreat, our Florida vacation with the Fontana's. Ive learned a lot about myself. Every day we were together...all 16 years...I was in awe of you...and I still am. You never cease to amaze me. I know our little family will be ok because you were and will continue to be the backbone of it. You give me strength - unbelieveable... I am so lucky that you chose me to love - I will be forever thankful for that gift...our children are so lucky you are their Daddy! You are my heart and soul...I love you always!!!
