Reflections for Deputy Sheriff Charles T. Sease

TO THE FAMILY AND CO-WORKERS OF DEPUTY SHERIFF CHARLES SEASE:
WE WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND OUR DEEPEST SYMPATHY IN THE LOSS OF YOUR LOVED-ONE. IT IS ALWAYS IN THE BACK OF OUR MINDS THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN, BUT WHEN IT DOES WE ARE SHOCKED AND CAN'T BRING OURSELVES TO BELIEVE IT.
I PRAY THAT GOD WILL SUSTAIN YOU AT THIS TIME AND IN THE COMING YEARS. ALWAYS REMEMBER HE IS BY YOUR SIDE HELPING YOU THROUGH THIS.
WHEN MY SON DIED, I THOUGHT I WOULD NEVER GET PAST THE HURT, IT JUST GETS TO THE POINT WHERE YOU CAN BEAR IT BETTER.
WE HERE ON THIS ODMP SITE KNOW WHAT YOU ARE EXPERIENCING AND WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT YOU ARE IN OUR THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
THE GOOD MEMORIES WILL FINALLY COME AND WILL BRING A SMILE TO YOUR FACE.
GOD BLESS AND KEEP YOU AND LOVE TO YOU ALL.

HAMILTON COUNTY DEPUTY SHERIFF: DONALD KENNETH BOND, JR.

MAY GOD BLESS FAMILY, FRIENDS AND COWORKERS. REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER.

CHIEF RONNIE WATFORD-RETIRED
JEFFERSON POLICE DEPT,S.C.

I am just a civilian who happens to be retired military. I heard on the news last night and read in the paper today the tragedy that struck Mrs. Sease and the Flagler County Sheriff's Department and the Law Enforcement community.

We civilians sometimes appear to take the law enforcement community for granted. Believe me - most of us do not. I for one of (millions) appreciate every day just what you members of that brotherhood do for us.

If it were within my power, I would pay each and every one of you what you were worth and then add 20%. Each and every day you put your lives on the line for us civilians.

And it seems like each and every day one of you guys or gals is taken from us senselessly, yet you pray for your fallen brethren, cinch up your belts and go back to protecting us from that which is evil (or just bad)

Mrs. Sease, I will say a special prayer for your "Chuck" tonight as I will for the men and women of the Flagler County Sheriff's department.

I would like to visit this site for years to come and see that the last "man in blue" was Deputy Sease. Being a realist, I know that will not be, so I will just pray for the safety for you brave folk.

God Bless

May God hold you and your family tight in His loving embrace, Deputy Sease. You are a shining example of heroism, not because you died, but because you died for the sake of others. You gave your life so that the citizens can be safe. I only hope that justice is served, though it will never bring you back.

Rest easy, my brother....we have the watch now.

Deputy K. J. Bowden
Ingham County Sheriff's Office Lansing, MI.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Deputy Sheriff Sease's wife, fmaily, friends and co-workers. You will never be alone in your pain and grief. Your law enforcement family will always be there for you. Psalm 55:22

Another senseless tragedy that leaves our hearts heavy and our lives
burdened for such a cruel act on an innocent victim standing in harm's
way. I come to this site often and what is more of a burden to me than
the officers down is the messages I read that assume that becuz a
person is a police officer or a good person, he has earned himself a
place in Heaven. The Bible never teaches this. What it does teach is
that Jesus Christ paid the penalty for our sin by His shed blood and it
is only thru our faith in Him that we are guaranteed a place in Heaven.
So, to be with God and our Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven, one only
needs to make a reservation. Prayer of salvation, if you do not have
Jesus in your life pray this prayer and believe...."whosoever shall call
upon the name of the Lord shall be saved"(Romans 10:13)

Dear God,I know that Jesus was Your son,and He died on the cross and
was raised from the dead. I know I have sinned and need forgiveness. I
am willing to turn away from my sins and receive Jesus as my Savior
and Lord. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus' name, Amen.
No one knows when they will die so it's a good idea to have this
assurance policy in the event of an untimely death like Deputy Chuck
Sease. My heart grieves for his tremendous sacrifice, for his wife,
for his family and for his law enforcement family. There are no words to
express my deep sorrow, but I know the God of the universe sees all
and knows all and can comfort you in your time of need if you will just
turn towards Him. God bless each and every one of you who grieves
and aches and doesn't know what to do with the pain. Our hearts go out
to all of you. My condolences from one coast of America to the other.

Sgt. James L. Mayes

Thank you Deputy Sease for the service you gave to your community. Your life was far too precious than to give it trying to catch a criminal. My prayers go to your family and the Flagler Sheriff's Office during this time of loss.
Deputy Sease, your life and your sacrafice will not be forgotten.

Deputy S. Cochran

Chuck,

I still can't believe that you're gone. You were an inspiration to me as i sought after a career in law enforcement, always ready with a positive word of encouragement or a joke to put a smile on my face. I owe you a lot for helping me to get where i am today. You will be deeply missed, and your legacy will not be forgotten.

REST IN PEACE DEPUTY SEASE. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE. I AM SADDENED TO HEAR THAT ANOTHER OFFICER TO BE TAKEN IN THE LINE OF DUTY. AT THE AGE OF 16 I WAS A TROUBLED TEEN AND LEAD AUTHORITIES ON A CHASE THE PERSON I WAS WITH ENDED UP CRASHING THE VEHCILE NO OFFICERS WERE HURT BUT I STILL CRINGE EVERYTIME I THINK I COULD HAVE GOTTEN AN OFFICER HURT OR KILLED. I HOPE THAT IF ANY ONE READS THIS THAT THEY WILL LOOK AT THE NEXT TIME THEY SEE THE LIGHTS AND SIRENS IN THEIR REAR VIEW MIRROR TO JUST PULL OVER AND LET THESE FINE PEOPLE DO THEIR JOBS. IT TOOK ME ALONG TIME TO APOLOGIZE TO THOSE I HURT BUT NOW I HAVE MADE PEACE WITH MYSELF FOR THE CRIMES I DID AND THOSE I HURT. MY PRAYERS ARE WITH YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND DEPARTMENT DURING THIS TRAGIC EVENT. YOUR MEMORY WILL NOT BE FORGOTTEN BUT HONORED.

REST IN PEACE AND GOD BLESS.

THE FALLEN BLUE SOLDIER

THERE COMES A TIME IN LIFE
WHEN THE GOOD LORD HAS TO CHOOSE
FROM THE FINE BLUE SOLDIERS WHO FIGHT
FOR THE FREEDOM OF ME AND YOU.

THESE SOLDIERS ARE ALL VERY UNIQUE
FOR THEY COME IN DIFFERENT SHAPES AND SIZES
THEY COME IN DIFFERENT GENDERS AND DIFFERENT RACES
THEY ALL HAVE DIFFERENT NAMES
AND ALL COME FROM DIFFERENT PLACES.

AS THE LORD SEARCHES THE EARTH
LOOKING FOR HIS ELITE
HE COMES UPON THAT SPECIAL ONE
FOR IT IS HIS TIME TO LEAP.

GOD STATES TO HIM, "DON'T WORRY MY FALLEN BLUE SOLDIER I HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE FOR YOU,
YOU HAVE WORN YOUR UNIFORM PROUD
AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN TRUE
IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO JOIN ME IN HEAVEN
FOR IT IS YOU THAT I CHOOSE.

MY HEART GOES OUT TO YOUR FAMILY. YOU WILL DEEPLY BE MISSED.

More evidence on just how dangerous being in law enforcement is. I pray for his family and co-workers who need comfort and courage during this time. Deputy Sease, your dedication to duty is appreciated and the honor you brought to the this duty will never be forgotton. Rest well and easy. Watch over your loved ones from Heaven and be secure that you will always be a guiding light for us all

My fiance, Dennis McElderry, was the first law enforcement casualty of 2003. Dennis died in similar circumstances to Deputy Sease - while deploying stop strips during a vehicle pursuit. It saddens me to know that Dennis was not the first to die in the line of duty, nor will he and Chuck be the be the last to die this way.

Having gone through the pain of losing Dennis I can truly understand and feel the pain that Deputy Sease's family, friends, and co-workers must be feeling. My heart goes out to you all. I wish I could give you a few words of wisdom to help you through this tough time, but there isn't anything I can really say or do to make the situation better. Just know that my thoughts are with you.

Please accept my condolences on behalf of the McElderry family and remember that Chuck is part of huge law enforcement family. If you ever need anything any number of them will be there for you (as I've quickly found out!) From reading the many reflections posted here, I am certain Chuck was well respected and well loved. Thank you for a job well done and for helping to make this world a safer place for us all. Please take care of my fiance Dennis.

Peace, Love, Luck, and Happiness!

There are but two persons who protect the sinful human race from destroying itself. One is God's Holy Spirit. The other is the Peace Officer. Without them, we would all perish at each other's hands.

According to Romans 13.1-5...
God ordains the Peace Officer’s profession.
The Peace Officer is sent by God.
The Peace Officer is vested with God's authority to enforce the law.
A Peace Officer's badge is to be honored by us, because it is honored by God.

To the family of Deputy Sheriff Charles (Chuck) Sease and the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, your extended family of Law Enforcement Officers grieve with you during this time.
I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around each of you and comfort you during this most difficult time.

To all my brothers and sisters, please remember the fallen officers we have lost. Remember the men and women who died trying to make this world a safer and better place for us all to live in.
May God be with you every day, please remember, we are a part of the largest family in the world and when one hurts we all hurt.

Rest in peace with our other fallen Brothers and Sisters. We will continue the fight in your honor.
