Lance. All this still seems like a dream to us. I can think of so many things that I could say. To say that you were a wonderful son and brought such joy would certainly be an understatement. We just never knew what an impact you have made on your job, but then again, we should not be surprised. I tried to remember our last conversation and it was not so much the conversation itself but the last words we spoke that bring such comfort to me.............I said "I love you. And you said, "I love you too." Very few regrets I have and I am so thankful that God choose me to be your Mother for 32 1/2 years. We will certainly love Jessica and Jacob always and keep your memory alive! I remember when we used to play outside when it rained. You loved to play with boats and water.
I Love you!

Conservation Officer Lance Horner was a fine officer and a friend. He will be missed by all who knew him. Law enforcement in Clarke county has suffered a great loss. You could always count on back up if Lance was on duty. Lance you passed away doing what you loved and helping a fellow officer in his time of need. To the family may God bless you and we are here for you. Take care my friend 812

My heartfelt sympathy goes out ot the family and coworkers of Officer Horner.

Although I did not have the privilege to have known you personally, I grieve for your loss my friend. Rest in peace knowing that those of us left behind will proudly cover your post on the thin blue line.

Susan, Jim, Jessica, and Lori--I know that your pain is so terribly deep just now but your pride should also be great--as Lance certainly died a hero. Lance personified the "no greater love" of John 15:13. I hope that that fact will bring you some small measure of comfort. My daily prayer for each of you is that God will uphold you with an extra outpouring of His comfort, strength, and peace.
