Reflections for Police Officer Rodney Fredderick Pocceschi

Another fellow officer made the ultimate sacrifice: giving his life in the line of duty. This time the officer was from my department, he was my brother, he was my coworker. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this difficult time.

Officer R.J. Tominich
Virgina Beah Police Department

To the family and co-workers of Officer Pocceschi, the men and women of the Illinois State Police offer our condolences. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Rest in Peace.

"This is my shield.
I bear it before me into battle,
but it is not mine alone.
It protects my brother on my left.
It protects my city.
I will never let my brother
out of its shadow
nor my city out of its shelter.
I will die with my shield before me
facing the enemy."

“May his badge and all it stands for shine brightly throughout eternity”

You are gone but not forgotten brother.
Thank you for keeping the streets safe for all

There are but two persons who protect the sinful human race from destroying itself. One is God's Holy Spirit. The other is the Peace Officer. Without them, we would all perish at each other's hands.

According to Romans 13.1-5...
God ordains the Peace Officer’s profession.
The Peace Officer is sent by God.
The Peace Officer is vested with God's authority to enforce the law.
A Peace Officer's badge is to be honored by us, because it is honored by God.

To the family of Officer Rodney F. Pocceschi and the Virginia Beach Police Department, your extended family of Law Enforcement Officers grieve with you during this time. I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around each of you and comfort you during this most difficult time.

To all my brothers and sisters, please remember the fallen officers we have lost. Remember the men and women who died trying to make this world a safer and better place for us all to live in.
May God be with you every day, please remember, we are a part of the largest family in the world and when one hurts we all hurt.

Though our badges and uniforms may be different, our mission is the same. Rest in peace with our other fallen Brothers and Sisters. We will continue the fight in your honor.

Florida Deputy Sheriff

"Of every 100 men in battle:
10 should not even be there,
80 are nothing but mere targets,
9 are real fighters... we are lucky to have them... they the battle make.
Ah but the one, one of them is a WARRIOR... and he will bring all the others back."

-Hericletus. 500 b.c.

Fly high warrior. Your sacrifice will not be forgotten.

Once again here in VA I wake up put on my uniform and head off to work. As I listen to the radio this morning what the newscaster said was all to familiar, another officer down. It saddens me greatly that we as a civilized nation cant stop the violence. Let it be known that this tragic event only makes myself and other officers stronger. We will continue the fight! Officer Pocceschi you are a hero and you will not be forgotten. Rest easy brother, we have the watch now.
May god be with the family, friends, and co-workers of this hero. God Bless.

British Police Officer

A tragedy. A traffic stop and then gunfire. Always living on the edge until one day God says, "Enough, come stand by my side, be a guardian among all that is good."
Your heart will continue to beat through the lives of your family and friends. The memories of you, the love for you, the respect for you, will not fade as a Hero is never forgotten.

CPD

I didn't know you personally, but still knew you as my brother. We might in passing say hi, never knowing if really it is a last good-bye. I cried when I heard of your lost and wonder why do we have to deal with this great cost. I will continue to pray for your family. We have lost a true professional.

You'll always be remembered at the Beach Bro.
