Oh Lord, take my hand and guide me through the night.
I’m drifting through troubled waters and no shore is in sight.
My tears are gently flowing and my heart is breaking too.
When through the troubled waters a tender voice came through,
“My child, why are you fearful?
Do you not know I’m with you?
Take my hand and hold it tight,
And you and I will walk together in the quiet night.”
To the family of Sgt. Michael Johnson, I know only too well the pain and grief you are feeling for I lost my brother, Tucson Police Officer Patrick Hardesty, May 26th, 2003. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.

I did not know Mr.Johnson personally.but living in Fairlee My family and I have come to know him as a police officer. I feel as if this is a loss to all of us VT residents. Mr. Johnson had come to my home for buisness and I have been in shock since this happened. I cant believe a person could do this to a officer that is there to protect all of us..My heart goes out to his family and friends. No one can bring him back but I am glad the guy was caught. tearfully Endora

I have known Mike and his family since he was a Killington Outpost Trooper. Mike was always there when he was needed, be it on duty or off. To help a neighbor, friend, or someone he had just met. I never saw Mike without a smile or without a laugh. It is a rare thing to find a person of his caliber, as there are not many of them; it makes the loss that much greater. We will miss you Mike… we will always remember you.
