Reflections for Police Officer Tony Willi Zeppetella
Tony Zeppetella is a true hero! All too often people take for granted what law enforcement officers like Tony do for us each and every day. I pray for Tony's family and co-workers.

My heart breaks everytime I read that one of my brothers or sisters loses their life in performance of their duties. May God hold your family, especially your young child close to him. I look at my own children everytime I leave for shift and pray that they never know that pain. Rest in Peace.

TO THE FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND FELLOW COLLEAGUES OF OFFICER ZEPPETELLA,
I AM SO SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT YOUR TRAGIC LOSS. WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS THE SORROW I FEEL. I WAS IN SUCH SHOCK AS I WATCHED THE LOCAL NEWS TO HEAR ABOUT ANOTHER COWARDLY ACT OF ANOTHER MAN TAKING ANOTHER PRECIOUS LIFE. PLEASE FIND SOME PEACE AND COMFORT KNOWING THAT TONY IS NOW IN HEAVEN AND WILL NOW BEGIN HIS NEW JOURNEY GUIDING THOSE HE LOVED THROUGH LIFE AND PROTECTING HIS LOVED ONES AND ALL HIS LAW ENFORCEMENT FAMILY. MAY HE CONTINUE TO LIVE THROUGH THE LIFE OF HIS SON AND ALL THE PRECIOUS MEMORIES YOU WILL ALL CHERISH FOREVER.
MAY GOD BLESS TONY, HIS LOVING WIFE AND SON HE LEAVES BEHIND ALONG WITH HIS FRIENDS AND FELLOW COLLEAGUES THROUGH THIS INCREDIBLY DIFFICULT TIME.
I OFFER MY SINCERE CONDOLENCES TO YOU ALL.

As a Marine Reserve Sgt, I have been stationed in the Oceanside area since February and gotten to be acquainted with many of the fine men and women of this force as they come by our bike night every Thursday in the city. I am saddened to hear of this tragic loss as we had a very similar one in December of last year. God bless the department, friends, and family of our brother officer.

I can remember going to that same Credit Union as a young Marine. I was very naive back then of the evil that exists on the streets of every city in this Country. I never learned the true nature of evil until I left the Corps and became a police officer. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten, Brother. It will live on in the hearts and memories of your fellow officers and in men you never knew. I know that both your immediate family and your brothers with badges can find some solace in knowing you are watching over them from a better place.

As a young man about to enter law enforcement myself, it always sickens me to hear of someone giving their life in the line of duty, especially someone so young and near my own age.... but then again, it takes a special breed to wear that uniorm. It's odd how God decided that my Father would go 25 years in Houston without a scratch (and hopefully I too shortly), but decided it was time for Officer Zeppetella to come home. My thoughts and prayers are with his family, fellow officers, and citizens of California in this time of such loss. Rest easy, brother, we'll take it from here.

May God grant your family a comforting peace as you transcend this earthly bound. I have no doubt that God will meet you with open arms as you go forth to patrol the streets of heaven under his command. May God bless you, your family, friends, and all of the remaining peace officers who will continue the watch here in your absence. Good night, Warrior.
