Reflections for Corporal James Eddie Crump
JAMES,
IT HAS BEEN A HARD ROAD WE R GOING DOWN NOW THAT U, ACE, ARNOLD AND STAMPS R NOT WITH US HERE PATROLING THE STREETS. WE HAVE TO GIVE IT TO U, U GUYS WERE THE BEST WE EVER HAD HERE AND IT WILL NEVER BE THE SAME AGAIN IN FAYETTE. EVERYTIME I SEE A PATROL CAR I THINK OF U ALWAYS AND HOW GOOD IT IS GOING TO BE TO SEE THAT SMILE AGAIN IN HEAVEN. NOW WE R TRYING TO MOVE ON WITH OUR LIFES BUT JUSTICE HAS TO BE SERVED FOR THE TRAGEDY THAT HAPPENED THAT DAY IT WAS A BAD THING TO ALL OF US HERE. AND IT IS A REMINDER DAILY THAT JUSTICE HAS NOT BEEN SERVED ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO U GUYS AND WE MUST ALL PRAY THAT IT WILL COME SOON. IN THE MEAN TIME WE HAVE TO BE STILL AND WAIT FOR THAT DAY TO COME. I HAVE A ROUGH TIME DEALING WITH THIS AND SO DOES THE LOVE OF YOUR LIFE AND I FEEL SHE IS DOING THE BEST SHE CAN FOR ALL THAT SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH WITH ALL THAT HAPPENED WITH LOSING THE LOVE OF HER LIFE TOO. AND ME LOSING A VERY DEAR AND TRUE FRIEND THANK U BOTH FOR ALL THE GREAT TIMES WE HAD WITH EACH OTHER ON AND WE HAVE BOTH (SHANI AND I)HAVE DRAWN VERY CLOSE TO EACH OTHER THROUGH THICK AND THIN ALSO. WE HAVE TO TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER IS ALL WE CAN DO HERE ON THIS EARTH. UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN IN HEAVEN WE BOTH LOVE AND MISS U SO VERY MUCH. BUT THANK U FOR BEING MY FRIEND MOST OF ALL AND ME GETTING TO KNOW U FOR A SHORT TIME HERE. U R MISSED ALL THE TIME AND I THINK OF U EVERY TIME I SEE A PATROL CAR GOING BY ME IT BRINGS SO MANY GOOD MEMORIES OF U AND YOUR SMILE THAT WOULD LIGHT UP THE WHOLE WORLD. U JUST REST IN PEACE AND I WILL SEE U ON THE OTHER SIDE SOMEDAY IN HEAVEN.
A TRUE FRIEND

James,
I hope I represented you well the other day. The words came with many tears and it was very difficult to talk. I was told that it came out well, by friends who saw it. I will take their word for it, because I cannot bear to watch it myself. I have so much support from the law enforcement here and for that I am thankful. I saw a police officer who looked like you, I cried as he talked to me. You know how I feel...not much else to say.

I know what I told you sweetie, about two months before this happened. It came from God, and I believe it was meant to prepare us for your journey to heaven. I honor you with my tattoo, for you were and are still special enough to honor in such a way. I love you still...I love you always.
My heart goes out to others who have lost in such a way, and to those in Fayette who are without such a diligent and honorable Police Officer as James. You already know that if he was your friend, he was a friend to the end. Know that he is in a better place; a place that if we honor God we shall see also. It's hard to accept, but we have no choice. Just never forget and keep love and peace in your hearts.
THE CHANGE
Why do we cry when we don't know
what we're crying for?
Stirred to the core and starved
for peace
In the inner sactity there is a
war between good and evil
The battle fought within
And all that shows are tears
of misunderstanding
Humanity on the edge of
destruction
We are so oblivious to the moral
responsibility
That we are our brothers keeper
And to let him fall is to let
ourselves fall
The domino will strike at our
feet
In its own course
Popetual motion 'til none are
left standing
And we lose what we have at this
moment
When chances run out
And the sands pour no more
At times's end
So in knowing this we must
change
"U N M E T A M O R P H I S I Z E"
Remembering who we once were
When we cared for those around
us
This is the ONLY way to save
ourselves from
Self-annialation

I had the unique opportunity of seeing a side of James that not everyone got to see. The side that was happy, crazy and sometimes confused and sad. We had some good times and gave some good advice. He was a true friend and helped me through some tough times with his sense of humor and encouragement. I will always cherish the memories we had and will never forget you.

Those of us who truly knew you knew that you did not always have a smile on your face. That is why I thank you, for the special moment when you smiled at me on the picture on this website. I am so happy I got to share this with the world. You were a quiet, fun, and God-fearing man who was deeply in love with his son, Julian. You had a passion for being the best Police Officer you could possibly be(with all of its ups and downs). You were a seeker of peace and happiness which you now have in Heaven with our Lord. I love you always.

God Bless You Brother and I thank you for all your service!!! May God Bless you and your family. I was raised close to your community and my Dad worked with you for many years.
