Reflections for Lieutenant Charles A. "Bo" Harrison

God bless the family and friends of Lt. "Bo" Harrison. Words can not express the anger I feal inside when a fellow brother is taken away from all of us by a coward. A true leader is difficult to find and our profession has lost one today.

I had the wonderful opportunity to Work with Lt. Harrison while he volunteered to assist us with a promotional process.
My first thought that came to mind when I heard the aweful news was I would miss his smile. It seemed no matter what time of day, or how tired everyone was, Lt. Harrison had a smile on his face.
The Lt. was a warm, wonderful man. I will miss him.

I am saddened by this senseless tragedy and only hope that Bo's family can find comfort in the Lord. God Bless. The prayers of all the men and women who hold the line are with you.

Dear Mrs. Harrison and Family. Please accept my condolances for the recent loss of your husband and father. I do not know your husband personally, but I know his type. I have worked for fifteen years with men and women like him that go out every day and night and risk the ultimate so that others can feel safe. Your husband was, and is a hero in my eyes and his passing only inspires me to work harder and more diligently to bring to justice those who feel they are above this country's laws. My family will keep you in our prayers forever and never forget Bo's sacrifice. His loss is not in vain, because all of us learn from his ordeal. May Jesus bless your family in this sad time.

Bobo was one of my first supervisors when I joined the Pasco Sheriff's Office in 1985. The first thing that you notice about Bobo was his wonderful smile followed by his infectious laugh. When he laughed, everyone followed.

At times, I thought Bobo knew everyone in Pasco County because it seemed that everyone was always asking me how Bo was. It was hard to have a conversation with him in public because cars would pass by and honk when they saw Bo.

Bo was also a law man. One that I have tried to emulate for the past 18 years. He was friendly with everyone and I do mean everyone he came in contact whether it was a law abiding citizen or a suspect in a felony. Bo treated everyone the same; with kindness and respect.

I spoke with him only last week. He had that smile, he laughed which caused me to laugh; and now it's over.

Charles "Bo" Harrison will live on in my heart and in the thousands of others that knew him.

I miss you and hope to see you again in Heaven.

It is a tragedy each time we loose a LEO. to Lt Harrison, thank you for all the years you served us, the American people, in the military and law enforcement. It is clear, for your whole adult life, you put others safety before your own. I have read in the papers and seen on TV what a great person you were and how much you meant to the community. It was time to pass the torch to the young. You had plans to do many things, little did any of us know you would be called to heaven, not to do those things you wanted, but to help out God with his plan for us all. I know you are still patroling, still watching over us, the American people.

You didn't have the chance to enjoy your retirement here, but I am sure you will enjoy being with our fellow brothers and sisters in a better place. GOD BLESS.

Lieutenant Harrison,

I mourn your loss; the loss of your life, the loss to your community, the loss to your comrades, and certainly the loss to your family. I hope that if you did not have the opportunity to know St. Michael in this cruel world that you are getting to know him in Heaven.

I am saddened that your death was the result of yet another unpublicized law enforcement officer assassination. I pray that someday the press and the public will realize that even in this century we are still hunted and murdered by criminals. It is a sad thing that some of us still feel that we must wear our hold-out or backup to funerals, weddings, dinner with family, and church.

God bless your eternal soul.

God Bless Lieutenant Charles (Bo) Harrison for all that he has did for our freedom both as a Vietnam War Veteran and as Soldier of War on crime. When I speak to my child I explain why I feel so sadden when a fallen Police Officer dies in the line of duty. It is very hard to explain and hold back my tears. My child asks "Why daddy, do you have tears. Do you know the Officer?" I have to tell my child yes. I say that Officers like Bo, are my Brother. I have to explain to my child why he never came to our house. I tell my child that Bo did come to our house and that he is watching us now from somewhere above. Mrs. Harrison and Family, my Family will pray for you. I pray that Jesus can comfort you and your Children. We don't understand why such a hero can be taken from His Family, but we know why he was there. We know that he is guiding the younger officers in ways that we can't see. We know he has saved many people in the past and still to come. Mrs. Harrison, I never knew your Husband personally, but I know his type. He is a leader that I want follow. Again, I want you to know Mrs. Harrison, that we are praying for you and your family as well as those Officers who worked with Bo. He knows that his extended family is there for you right now, and will comfort you and your children. I'd like to say a prayer for you right now. Lord Jesus, I pray that LT. Harrison's family and friends are taken care of and you can provide them comfort in this time of loss oh Lord. I pray that his Children can go on feeling proud of their Father who was a hero and still is. I pray, that in all of those awaken hours his Family can remember all of the great things that he did for the many of people who He helped. I pray that all of us in LT Harrison's extended family will provide all that we can to help his family through this grieving time, and don't let them fade away. LT Harrison is your Soldier, and our hero. Bless his family oh Lord. In Jesus' name, I pray. Amen. God Bless you Lieutenant Harrison, rest in peace. We will do the rest.

It was with much saddness that we learnt of the death of Lt. Charles (Bo) Harrison.

Mine and my family's condolences go to his family, friends and colleagues who are in our hearts and in our minds at this time.

Sadly, those who remain must shuffle together to close the gap in the Thin Blue Line that was caused by his passing.

May this Hero never be forgotten.

I knew you not, LT, however, the accolades from friends and colleagues show me you were instrumental in the lives of many police officers and citizens.

May your long boat be fired chiefly well and sent in calm waters. May you be lifted up as on wings by the inferno, the flames chanting your lineage and history. May people who stand in harm's way for others never forget your teachings.

It's hard to come up with the words to express how you feel when something like this happens...all I can think is how senseless and cowardly this act was. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Lt. Harrison. May God bless the men and women of the Pasco County Sheriff's Office as they continue to hunt this cold-blooded killer that took Lt. Richardson 15 days before he hung up his badge and uniform for good.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family and fellow deputies of Lieutenant Harrison.

While we may all wear different uniforms and serve in different jurisdictions, we are all united in other sworn duties to uphold the law and protect the public.

Rest in peace my friend, let those of us who remain cover your post on the thin blue line until we meet again.
