Seared into the memories of my youth in Waverly is this tragic loss of Patrolman Beers. He came to mind the other day and has led me here to leave my best regards.

I grew up in Waverly, attended school with your family members. I heard over and over the stories about you and the day you were murdered. I am now an officer in Kansas and every domestic call I respond to I think of you while enroute.
