Isaiah 40:31
It is our human nature to feel sorrow.
For is the cup half empty or half full.
We grieve for this officer and his family.
But little do we know, what wonders, have occurred.
For at that moment, when the flesh was weak.
The heavens opened, the trumpets sounded.
And all heaven, Angels and Saints, stopped.
A Hero was born... of God's own Army.
May God hold you and your family near to him.

Words are never enough when our grief is overwhelming so I will only tell you, the family and friends, that you are being prayed for and loved by your extended family. Those of us who have walked before you in the loss of our hero will carry you when you most need it.

What a sad time, losing a fine officer who was preforming the seemingly "routine" but vital work that officers do each day to keep society orderly and safe. This shows that no part of police work is routine.
I pray for the officer's family, friends and colleagues. We all share in the loss because we are all family of the badge, even though we may work for different agencies.
He now patrols the streets of Heaven with St. Michael. Be safe and God Bless.

My fiance, Dennis McElderry, was the first law enforcement casualty of 2003. It saddens me to know that Dennis was not the first to die in the line of duty, nor will he and Randall be the be the last to die this way.
Having gone through the pain of losing Dennis I can truly understand and feel the pain that Officer Spearman's family, friends, and co-workers must be feeling. I wish I could give you a few words of wisdom to help you through this tough time, but there isn't anything I can really say or do to make the situation better. Please know that my thoughts are with you.
Please accept my condolences on behalf of the McElderry family and remember that Randall is part of huge law enforcement family. If you ever need anything any number of them will be there for you (as I've quickly found out!) From reading the many reflections posted here, I am certain Randall was well respected and well loved. Thank you for a job well done and for helping to make this world a safer place for us all. Please take care of my fiance Dennis.
Peace, Love, Luck, and Happiness!
