It is crazy to think that it has been almost 7 years that you have been gone. You are still thought of and missed terribly every day. Rest in peace, Officer Hartzell, and know that we will all be together once again someday. You gave your life to protect us and we are forever thankful.

You were such an awesome friend. Sometimes it is so tough to find REAL TRUE friends, people you know you can trust and who you know will always stay your friend, no matter what. That's the kind of friend you were and we miss you so much. We think about you a ton. Have a Happy Birthday in Heaven tomorrow.

To Michael Hartzell's family and friends I just want you to know that God is able to carry you through. I once was married to a younstown police officer, and to this day I still care and love him so what I do is place him in the Lord's hands. God will continually see and carry you through and as you place everything in his hands. May God Bless you.

Yesterday another YPD officer passed away. I did not know him but as soon as I heard, I started thinking about you. That phone call I got in the early morning hours from Nicky.... and how his family and friends would all be getting that call from someone.
Anyway, I haven't stopped thinking about you since then... I miss hanging out with you and Steph. And I wish you would've known Robbie-boy.
Thank you for the time we were all able to share with you.

Couldn't miss you more. Thinking of you, as always, but especially today. Got another one of those calls early this morning. But I am sure you already know that. Rob missed you terribly. Now he is in peace with you. I know you will take good care of him. God Bless. You remain in our hearts forever. -A

Just now got to this site, but didn't forget you on Tuesday, as we paid a visit to your grave.
We both miss you so much and although it's eased up some, the pain of losing you is still there and I'm sure it always will be. But we always try to remember that you're in a much better place than we are, looking over everyone. Please watch over Rob's dad for us. We love ya!!
