Your heroism and service is honored today, the 88th anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

This was my grandfather whom I never met, but learned about through old newspapers that belonged to my father. He not only left a wife and a daughter, but my dad was also alive at the time. His name was Enrique "Likis" Rivera, who served in the ARMY. I have seen pictures of my grandpa who resembled my father. I am sure he was a great man.
