Your heroism and service is honored today, the one hundred and eighth anniversary of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.
Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered.

Deputy Sheriff Willie Wright's bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten by his family and he will always be honored and remembered. Because he was willing to risk his own life to protect his family and bring those who had murdered several people to justice my father survived, and because of this I am alive today to write this.
