Patrolman William Dinwiddie:
It is so sad that the name of Kid Curry is so known. It is your name Patrolman William Dinwiddie that should be known. You are a hero and a man to be looked up to. May you rest in peace and thank you and your family for the ultimate sacrifice. WE are a better people today because you walked among us yesterday.

To fully appreciate the heroes of the present, we must recognize our heroes of the past. Your heroism and service is honored today, the 98th anniversary year of your death. Your memory lives and you continue to inspire. Thank you for your service. My cherished son Larry Lasater was a fellow police officer who was murdered in the line of duty on April 24, 2005 while serving as a Pittsburg, CA police officer.

Time never diminishes respect. Your memory will always be honored and revered. Rest In Peace.

Mom of fallen California Officer Larry Lasater, Pittsburg PD, eow 4/24/05

Depending upon whom one talks to, Kid Curry may have actually been the nastiest of all, making Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, appear to be choirboys. Some historians claim that Kid Curry was responsible for the deaths of as many as nine law enforcement officers.

It is unfortunate that those demons' names are remembered when heroes such as Patrolman Dinwiddle, is forgotten by most.

May Patrolman Dinwiddle's Soul Rest - In - Peace.
