Officer Carson, it has been 84 years since you were taken from us. New England law enforcement has continued to thrive, learn and become safer due to the traditions and sacrifices you, your family, and many others have made for us. Thank you for your law enforcement service.

Officer Carson, your sacrifice will be remembered for as long as there is a dept in the town of Scituate. There is a memorial on the front lawn of the station, and a plaque and your picture in the lobby of SPD- rest in peace

Patrolman Carson, today marks the 69th anniversary of your tragic and untimely death. I know the Scituate Police Department is a fine organization as a man I have known for years and fully respect is a lieutenant there. Because I know what a great department this is, it’s safe to say you were a fine man who helped make the SPD what it is today by your contributions. I haven’t the guts to ride a motorcycle and back then you didn’t even have helmets, so you must have had some serious courage. For your years protecting that town and hence, indirectly, all the citizens of the South Shore, I thank you. You are a hero.
God Bless and may you continue to Rest in Peace, Brother.

I never knew my grandfather; he died when my mother was only six. His influence on our family, though, has remained strong throughout the decades. I would like to thank the Scituate Police Department for their thoughtfulness and diligence in commemorating my grandfather's service. Even though I never met him, I often stop by his memorial in Scituate, or on pages like these, and I feel closer to him. Thank you, most sincerely. It does make a difference.
