Thank you very much for your service. I've known a few reserve officers who have almost been killed in the line of duty, and now it is deeply troubling to see that another has died while serving so selflessly. The only word I can think of to describe her service is "wow!" People criticize the police all the time, and they don't even realize that people do the job for free. You've done more than enough to earn your rewards in heaven, rest well. To her friends and family, I'm sorry for your loss... as sad as it is, what an incredible memory you must have of her for what she did.

Dear Hobbs family, I am sorry to hear of your loss. I do pray for all who serve us and will pray her specifically too. The example of these volunteers who serve us all when they could be out doing something else is very noble. I am a former reserve deputy for the Lewis and Clark County Sheriff's Dept in Helena, Montana and I know that most reserve officers volunteer their time to their community. Deputy Hobbs sacrificed her time to serve the people of Lake County and now she gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect the people of Lake County.

Deborah Hobbs, God bless you for your devotion and your sacrifice. I pray that God will be with your family and also with the Lake County Sheriff's Dept. I know you will be missed but your time spent with this department and the memories will be treasured and cherished forever.
