Reflections for Reserve Deputy Deborah Jean Hobbs
As a former reserve police officer it hurts to see another officer fall in this way. I once saw a poster that depicted a dark alley with the caption " I would go in there for a million dollars, a police officer goes in there for a lot less and a reserve goes for free." God speed Deputy Hobbs

My heart goes out to Deputy Hobbs family and friends. It is sad we have yet lost another officer in the line of duty. Deputy Hobbs gave the ultimate sacrifice to her community. Even though I did not know Deputy Hobbs, it is shown through her dedication that she loved her job and community. Deputy Hobbs patrolled the streets for the love of the job. Being a reserve Deputy, she made no money, but shared the same dangers we as full time Officers face. You will be greatly missed by all. fare well my sister, you will not be forgotten.
