Reflections for Police Officer Joseph John McGarry
Everyone who knew you loved you! You worked so hard to get where you were. I will always remember your smile, your laugh, and the sound of your voice. Thank you for doing what you did! You helped more people than you know! You will be in my heart always! A friend and hero, you will never be forgotten! The class of 1997 has an angel watching over it!
To Joe's family, fiancee, and co-workers- this is a true loss for all! Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers!

As 2002 draws to a close, let us not forget those officers that paid the ultimate price for our freedoms. But let us rejoice that the number of officers killed in the line of duty has dropped significantly from the past few years. Let's see those numbers drop in the New Year, and may God bless and keep all of you.

Thank you Joe for keeping us safe at nite...thank you for going on patrol and looking for the bad guys and watching over us...we as a city were truly blessed to have you as one of our finest "Men in Blue." Even though I know that you are in a better place, I can not help but be selfish and wish that you were here, with us, still watching over us. Keep us safe from your watch above, keep your fellow officers, across the country as safe as you can. We will miss you...
