THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICES MY FELLOW BROTHER. MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. OUR PRAYERS ARE ALSO WITH YOUR FELLOW BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN BLUE. PLEASE WATCH OVER ALL OF US FROM ABOVE AND HELP PROTECT US. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE MY BROTHER.
TROOPER
PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE
My heart goes out to the family of this fallen hero. in oct of last year I lost my best friend and partner in a shooting. Partners are like brothers the pain runs deep but there is life after such loss. You were not alone my friend, and your memory will live with those that knew you. Your partner is hurting and his pain will subside in time. Time does not heal all wounds, but time does allow the pain to subside. Your family loved you joe, watch over all of us if you can.

To the MBPD, First and foremost GOD BLESS EACH AND, EVERYONE OF YOU SAINTS. As a future husband of a police officer this was a big eye opener . To Joes Family, and Holly, my heart goes out. Joe's in a better place now and thank you for such a wonderfull person, and officer to bless us all with. But Most of all Joe was a Person and a friend to hundreds and we as civilians need to realize this about all officers they are humans to. They take an oath to protect and serve and Joe was the best example of this. He never questioned why but why not . God Bless You Joe I know your still here but bigger and better than ever!

As a father of a Myrtle Beach Police Officer and living thousands of miles away I dread the phone ringining in the middle of the night. I can't imagine what Joe's family and Holly are going though but I know my prayers and thoughts are with you. I only met Joe once through my daughter and he was a very polite and cheerful person. He touched my daughter and helped guide her in her new career and I thank him for that. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and fellow officers I know he will be missed but never forgotten. God Bless you Joe. Watch over Heaven's streets. REP.

I'm Free
Don't greive for me, for now I'm free
I'm following the path God has laid for me
I took His hand when I heard his call I turned my back and left it all
I could not stay another day
To laugh, to love, to work, or play
Task left undone must stay that way
I found that peace at the close of the day
If my parting has left avoid
Then fill it with remembered joys
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss
Oh yes these things, I to will miss
Be not burdened with times of sorrow
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow
My life's been full, I savored much
Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch
Perhaps my time seemed all too brief
Don't lengthen it now with undo grief
Lift up your hearts and peace to thee
God wanted me now. He set me free

To the family, friends and workmates. Please accept my deepest sympathy. This young man paid the extreme price for merely doing his job.

JOE YOU WERE A GREAT FRIEND. YOU WERE THE TYPE OF PERSON WHO WOULD DO ANYTHING FOR A FRIEND OR EVEN A STRANGER. YOU WERE ALWAYS POSITIVE AND TRIED TO KEEP THE MORALE OF OTHER OFFICERS HIGH. ALL JOE WANTED TO DO WAS TO BRING A LITTLE BIT OF HONOR TO THE MBPD. JOE MADE THE PD LOOK GOOD. A FEW OF US WOULD CALL HIM GLORY BOY BECAUSE HE WAS ALWAYS GETTING IN THE PAPER FOR DOING SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE PD. IF IT WASN'T FOR JOE I PROBABLY WOULD HAVE LEFT MYRTLE BEACH A LONG TIME AGO BUT JOE TOLD ME JUST TO HANG ON. SO I DID. I COULD PROBABLY WRITE THINGS DOWN ALL DAY ABOUT THIS GREAT MAN AND OFFICER. ALL I WANT EVERYONE TO KNOW IS THAT THE WORLD HAS LOST A GOOD PERSON. MY HEART GOES OUT TO HIS FIANCE HOLLY , HIS FAMILY AND THE FRIENDS I HEARD SO MANY STORIES ABOUT FROM R.I. SEE YOU LATER JOE....
PFC
MBPD
Joe,
You will never know how much you are missed. If one person could encompass the heart and soul of the patrol folks here, it was you. You were never without a smile, never down on the job or others. You always had a solution in mind for any gripe you may have had. Most of all, anyone who talked to you about the job or what was going on had to leave that encounter feeling better about themselves and the work we do. Joe, your position in life was appointed by GOD, (Romans 13) and you were called home, mission here completed. May you rest in the light of His love, and welcome each and every one of us, when we too are called home. You will be missed, but you will not be forgotten, my friend. May the peace of the Lord rest with your family and with Holly.

I really can't describe the way i felt when i reported to my sector on Dec. 29 at 0600 hours. This was the second time I came to work on Dec. 29 to learn that an officer in my county had been killed in the line of duty. And i really can't describe the way i feel now. I never knew Joe, but it hurt as if he was my family, my friend. Joe, it is apparent you were a great person, and for the character you gave the badge and uniform, i thank you. I'm sure your presence in Myrtle Beach will be missed. Thank you for all that you have done. There is one thing that I have come to learn though. We may go our separate ways, and have our disagreements, but when the chips are down, we all come together.
People may be able to stretch the blue line, maybe bend and warp it a little, but nobody will ever break it.
Rest now Joe, you have completed your task.

I sincerely wish the family the best in these most difficult of times. I worked in the law enforcement field in Horry County from 1983 until 1986 and miss the law enforcement circle in which I worked. Law enforcement officer's thru out Horry County and Myrtle Beach don't recieve the credit they so dearly deserve. May God watch over this officer's family and friends in the days to come.
