Reflections for Police Officer JoAnn Virginia Liscombe

JoAnn was a Sweet Young Lady I graduated with from Northwest high School in St. Louis. We dated briefly in 1968 and she was a great dancer. Tragically she was taken much too soon and myself and my classmates Miss Her. We have Great Respect for the Police and JoAnn. She Was a proud officer and Would have Accomplished many Great Things! Love You JoAnn and We'll See You Soon In Heaven! NWHS Class of 1970!

As I write this, I am watching the sad episode about JoAnn on the show "Ice Cold Killers." I am so sorry this happened to this beautiful hero who has her crown and spot next to our Lord, Jesus Christ. I live and teach here in Florida and always offer a soda, a meal or an ice cream cone to officers when I see them out and about. God bless them for risking their lives daily.

Shortly after the 30th year anniversary of this heinous murder, I find myself in conflict with an individual who used the same defense attorney that the murderer of Joanne used. He's running for US Senate. I and we cannot allow this to happen. The defense attorney is the "attorney of psychopaths". I and anyone else observing this post, need to stop this madness in it's tracks. I, Charles Myers, am one of the several state witnesses that attempted to bring justice for JoAnne. Please locate me on FB and use private messenger to contact me. My personal email is [email protected]. We will not tolerate the victoms of crime to continue to suffer under Scott Rosenblum.

I rember JoAnn Liscombe as if it was yesterday. I come from a family that was not perfect and she helped me as a juvenile. I witnessed her with her murderer that cold night and miss her strength. Tonight, another St. Louis County officer Langsdorf has lost his life. I want you to know I turned out alright and will always remember your sacrifice.

JoAnn's death was a shock. We canvassed the entire area for any evidence and searched for her missing revolver.

Her parents were devasted, but were so gracious for the support they received from the County PD, Chief Battelle, and BackStoppers.

I never met JoAnn, but all who knew her and worked with her in the 1st Precinct, were in shock and disbelief.

May you rest in Honored Glory, we will never forget you.

when Joanne was a dispatcher I had just graduated from the academy. When she entered the academy I had already become an RN. I worried about her because of her extrordinary kindness as a human being. When I reread the case against her assailant, it simply becomes hard to digest. Love you Joanne..a real angel

I lived in Whispering Lake Appartments just down the street from where she met her unforunate physical end. She was simply a very nice person. When you don’t break the law you don’t have to worry about anything else. She was good people.

JoAnn and I attended Northwest High School together and graduated in 1970. We dated briefly in High School and she was a sweet, kind, caring young lady. She was also very talented and a great dancer. I think of her often and she was taken from us all much too soon. Thank you for your service and Prayers for you and everyone who knew and loved you.

We graduated high school together. Northwest class of 1970. When I heard of your murder. I was stunned. You were always a good person who lived people and laughter. I think of you often when I pass that corner off Old Halls Ferry Road when you were taken far too soon. Prayers for your family. You will always be remembered. Thank you for your service.
